This is one of those movies that really get your tear ducts going and still you can't avoid having a laugh to this movie. When you start watching this movie you don't have high hopes, you just watch it because you try to spend some time, Blake Lively is in it and she looks amazing as always. But it turns out to feel extremely genuine and real. It doesn't get slow in the middle that a lot of love story and drama movies intend to get. You just have to love it, and the ending was a real thriller. A perfect movie, a real feel good. Simply said: Funny, sweet, acting was not awesome but good. A must for every romance drama lover.

a film about small things. a boy, a girl, slices of Cinderella, gray circle of parents and escape far from jail of every day. drama, humor, beautiful images, delicate feelings. and an inspired cast. for me, out of atmosphere, it is performance of Joe Mantegna. each gesture, his face, the words, the silhouette in rain, are impressive and precise. the fragile character of Elvis, the pressure - chain of Annabelle, the house, the golf play, the picture of kiss or the love scene of beach are fruits of his presence. so, it is a good film. testimony - taste after its end. and powerful flavor of basic need - to joy of life, hour by hour.

The people who gave this movie one star may have seen another movie.I loved it even though I hate Blake Lively to death (see Gossip Girl) because she can't even act and has an annoying voice. But in this movie she was actually decent, not great but bearable. Max Minghella is awesome as always(one of my favourite young actors) and he kinda saves the whole movie acting-wise (along with Joe Mantegna who shines as the alienated father). The plot was great and original, the directing was good but what really makes this a 10 out of 10 is the overall feeling I got. I was left with a smile on my face even though this is essentially a drama. It makes you think about things and offers a pretty optimistic view on life. Like looking on the bright side. It stuck with me and made me go and recommend it to my friends. Repeatedly. Miracles exist and this is a gem of a movie. Period.

Being such a low-budget film I wasn't expecting much from Elvis and Anabelle but I'm glad I was proved wrong. Both Blake Lively and Max Minghella's performances were excellent. They portrayed characters who both hid dark secrets but also kept the believability of each character at an all time high. Joe Montegna stole the show for me playing the physically and mentally challenged father of Elvis( Max Minghella). His witty one-liners and the love he showed for Elvis and Anabell will touch your heart in such away that you will think about this movie for a long time after the credits role. With such a quirky storyline and characters you will surely fall in love with,Elvis and Anabell is a terrific must-see film!
