The Intouchables' story could be familiar to anybody, even to those who haven't seen a lot of movies. Almost every phase, and every point in this movie is so conventional and unoriginal. However, this movie is very remarkable! That's because it surpasses all the feel-good movies of its kind.Needless to mention the high-class direction from Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano that made this movie exceptional. Thanks to this superb direction, The Intouchables delivers broad laughs and tugs at the heartstrings without delving too deep, or present anything new. Sometimes the movie becomes so hilarious, and other times you couldn't help shedding some tears, often, of joy! The best thing about this movie that it kept its lighter tone throughout its runtime. The tonal shift when the movie moves from its second to its third act wasn't smooth, though. That being said, you will never find any movie of this kind that has half its magical moments. The friendship between Philippe and Driss is simply unparalleled. That's, of course, due to the insanely magnetic chemistry between Omar Sy and François Cluzet. I bet you can find such chemistry in any other movie of the same kind. The soundtrack is perfectly utilized to match the movie's bright tone. And the cinematography is beautiful, but what I think made the movie looks spectacular is its fancy production design. The third act is definitely a bit rushed but I feel like the ending more than makes up for it. This ending could be the sweetest and most charming ending ever. You couldn't decide if you should cry or laugh, but don't worry because you would do both.(8/10)

The most endearing thing about this entire film is that it doesn't touch on or even mention racism a single time throughout the entire thing. It's just a man who's had it hard helping out a man who's had it hard. The sharpest point about this movie is its determination to ignore racist issues and comparing pain for the sake of pointing out which audience members care so much about identity politics and group debt that they're willing to sacrifice everything beautiful about the personalities of every character in this movie for it. A child would look at this movie and not point out roots of racism, they would naturally (instinctively) look at every character as equal in their suffering, want them all to be happy, and see all the characters that aren't suffering as happy people undeserving of envious hatred. The selflessness, openness, and true equality in this picture is so pure at heart that the politically correct mindset is a fake leach in comparison to it, which is why so many critics were so quick to jump on the Uncle Tom case when criticizing it. They all missed the point. It's literally anti-racism in its indifference towards racism, which is how we all should be. It's true acceptance over tolerance, which was perfectly presented in the scene when Driss sits down and listens to classical music, putting his own fun perspective into it as to try to honestly enjoy it as it's own substance, separate from himself, then plays Earth Wind and Fire and proceeds to make all the coming-off-as racist rich people dance their butts off like it doesn't matter. As far as the movie itself goes, it's a fantastic story about a man out of good options finding sanctuary in a job for a man that has no comfortable options. 2 different people giving each other everything that they're missing in the Taoism sort of fashion; one man coming from a chaotic life of uncertainty meeting a man forced into order to the point of boredom and abstractionlessness, like most people that can find depth in simple blots on a canvas. Deep down it's really one of the best love stories ever told, as they become best of friends despite their polarizing differences (never once mentioning skin color as a difference, because there's so much more to talk about in their lives as human beings) to the point where life was simply happier with each other around. We all have that best friend. We all need that best friend, and sometimes that best friend (and even your girlfriend/boyfriend) comes to you from the strangest of places. Hell, it usually does from my experience. It's a movie that everyone should be able to appreciate, and the people that don't aren't looking at its art the right way.

I think movie's genre "Biography" - quite hard to shoot, because you should find a balance between boring routine of the person and the movie magic. Also "Biography" is usually shooted for small auditories. But the film makers in that case made interesting and lightweight movie for the wide audience. I think everyone of us have troubles - in a private life, on a work, with a health. And many of us feel unsatisfied and depressive about it. Main characters of this film show that we should live our lifes in positive key with big amount of self-ironic despite social level.

'Untouchable (2011)' is a feel-good, life-affirming picture that does its job and does it well, delivering on its early promise of a touching central relationship that really does warm the heart. I can honestly say that I had a genuine smile on my face for most of the run-time, thanks mainly to Omar Sy's endearing and energetic performance. It also helps that the picture is legitimately funny and has a realistic edge that prevents it from slipping too far into sentimentality. Even though, at its core, the story is bare-bones and familiar, there's enough fun to be had that the fairly basic concept can be overlooked and the pure joy of two friends laughing together, despite their many differences, can really shine through. 7/10
