Her is a smart movie with great performances across the board, led by Phoenix who truly gives many layers to Theodore. Her asks difficult, large questions about love, similarly to Ex Machina and Black Mirror's Be Right Back. As much fun as it is to consider, I would argue it's more of a romance and a character study than a sci-fi film. The characters are all realistic and the cast is excellent, but the emotional attachment at the end with Theodore losing Samantha just didn't land for me. It felt that it was more Theodore trying to understand himself and using Samantha to help himself do that and feel positive than a true relationship. The film looks beautiful and the lighting contrasts were gorgeous from scene to scene, and I thought the script was very good, but the progression of events kept me from being really drawn in. I can understand why many love it and think it's a valuable film to watch, but not a unique experience for me emotionally.

"Her" is largely a film that builds on older films that contain the somewhat patronising subtext: "This is where technology will bring us in our brave new future." The film is fairly interesting, yet it appears to legitimise people's obsession with technology by romanticising it. In the case, this romanticisation is quite literal due to the fact that the main character develops what deceptively passes as a "relationship" with an AI. There really is little to say about this film, except it serves as a depressing reminder that people would prefer talking to a piece of software rather than other human beings. However, I'm sure that the more pretentious and irrationally romantic among us would probably herald the film as a touching and poignant polyromantic story that is the future of "THE WORLD OF TOMORROW!"

I did not think that love is just spiritual things that do not require bodies, and that all I could imagine was that the heart is the first and last responsible for those feelings of love. This fantasy has no existence after seeing Her and it is symbolic and the mind may be the engine. The first of those feelings and feelings we feel. A romantic fantasy story directed and written by Spike Jones, who has always distinguished himself by presenting exotic works and genius ideas.Actress (Scarlett Johansen) to perform the sound of programmed virtual character Samantha was an excellent choice for her warm voice, which carries many meanings and beautiful sensations, to make from this voice the true meaning of love, and feel the extreme heat in every scene dealing with the character of the actor, Venekis), who also excelled in the divisions of his face and his looks and expressions to convey the summit of the suffering of Theodore, and what he feels, and how he gradually turned into a single solitary person looking for what these feelings share.Music was the most sensitive thing, especially the funerary and sad music chosen by Spike and the most famous (William Butler and Owen Pallet) to suit most of the scenes that were described as Theodore's case.

The idea for this movie is great. the actors all do a phenomenal job. Ans it is interesting to watch. I felt however that the film lost some power 3/4 of the way through...maybe 2/3. With a powerful finish this movie could be a masterpiece. Still worth the watch.
