Ratchet & Clank (2016)

Although even non fans can enjoy this I reckon. But you will get more out of it, if you played the games of course. It's apparent that this was made by people who are in love with the game and its characters. That love translates onto the screen, whether that is something that translates into your viewing experience is something that cannot be answered for everybody.But that is true for every movie and the person watching it. Just the fact that this is animated will have people either finding this intriguing or bad. The story is pretty classical too and there is nothing too surprising, but as mentioned everything is pouring with excitement and joy. If this sounds like (family) fun to you, than go ahead and watch

I thought the movie was great i saw it the day it came out on my day off from school. I saw the teaser for it back in 2014 and wanted to see it and scene it said it was coming out in 2015 but it didn't so i thought it was going to be horrible. Then when i saw it was coming out in April 29 i asked my grandma to take me. When i saw it i thought they did a great job. They had the art style and the voices the same as the game with Bella thorn voice a new character and a new story for a new game but it wasn't like just some cut scenes put together to make a movie.Overall i thought i was one of the only 3 great movie for 2016.I can see why some people might not like it because its trying to do what other video game movies haven't done but in a failing market.

Okay, so basically the Ratchet & Clank franchise is my childhood game. I spent dozens of hours playing it, and 2-3 years ago, when the first teaser came, I basically was more excited than the creators of the movie. I wasn't hoping for too much, just a good animated movie, that respects the material, and can give me tons of laughs and actions.And what did I get? Ratchet in this movie is an asshole. In the original game, his most charming quality was his big mouth. He didn't give a damn about Captain Quark, he basically said that he's an over-hyped man. In this movie, he adores him, which kills Ratchet's inner person for me. I think it wasn't a right decision to change this.I had a few good laughs. For example, the ps1 sound effect, the Sly & Dexter "cameo", the "I'm listening" by Qwark, etc. But it was such a cliché movie, I was so angry that we didn't get a normal plot. We just got an another "you can do it if you really want" story.It's not a terrible movie. It respects the original games, it just doesn't really work as a movie. I hope there will be a sequel, or something with a better storyline.

If there was ever a movie I could kick myself for going to see it would be this one, I mean what the heck was I thinking going to see this joke of a movie? And the theater I went to see it in charge nine dollars to go see it and it was without a shadow of a doubt the worst movie I ever spend on a movie ticket.If You wanted to see a movie based off a video game you be better off watching a fan made video game movie because they have done a better job than this joke of a movie.At first it started off with a good promise to have been a family movie but as the movie went on I was waiting for the movie to be over. It just got worse as the movie went on all this movie is about is a retelling on the story of Ratchet & Clank which I never play any of the games and thanks to this movie it's highly doubtful that I will ever play them.The voice acting in the game is some of the most disappointing I ever heard it's like the actors and actresses didn't even try just like they were there to pick up a paycheck which from what I learn this movie bomb so it's highly the DVD sales will make up the differenceThe Animation in the movie had is fair share of impressive work but it just feels like you're watching a video game movie nothing more nothing less.I swear I couldn't even begin to rant about how much I hated this movie if there was one movie I wish I didn't see it would be this one because it is just awful and such a waste of time do yourself a favor never watch this movie.I give Ratchet & Clank an 2 out of 10
