There are no errors in this movie. Sheer perfection.

A teenager skips school for a taste of carpe diem around Chicago and so he can help his best friend win some self-respect. The school dean is hot on their trail but Ferris Bueller is always one step ahead. All of the adults are dim-witted and one-dimensional and the solutions to teenage problems are quite simplistic but there is warmth, whimsicality, sweetness, good humour and the film's heart is in the right place.

Directed by John Hughes. One of my favourite childhood directors. It got released in 1986. Its been 32 years. So you haven't seen before then have to time travel pretty much back to be in a mindset to watch this. And from that point of view, this movie has some incredible new things. I am surprised by the usage of voice over narration technique in those time. I came to know about this movie through deadpool credit scenes. I have to accept that I had different expection than what movie offered. It was a little let down. I liked the message of the movie that "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." Its funny that how time passed quickly and its been 32 years since movie got releasedd. But I feel that this movie failed to deliver this idea clearly. I felt sometimes, the movie is heading no where and kind of not meaningful. Hey still its from 80's what more you can expect. Coming to the postive things, it explained how the schools were making students dumb and not being very much useful. I liked how bueller know his existence in the movie and his interaction with the audience. Thats simply brilliant. And he kind of guy where everyone knows him and care him. Ofcourse everyone would have crossed this kind people in our school days. So for me it is kind of interesting to know the teenage culture of US in 80's. Coming to cast, everyone did a great job. Maththew, Alan, Mia, Jennifer and Jefferey quite made a impression. The screenplay was sloppy sometimes. The movie has mixed pace. But make you sit through the whole. My rating: (Each worth a point)1 - Story (main theme) 2 - Cast(Acting) 3 - Screenplay 4 - Emotion 5 - Cinematography 6 - Impression 7 - Characterization 8 - Dialogues 9 - Sound 10 - EditingStory, Screenplay(Voice over narration nailed it), Cast(Acting), Cinematography, Dialogues -> Checked5/10 Verdict: One time watchable.

I expected much, much more from a movie with a 7.8 rating. Maybe I can't relate to this because I'm not American but I've found most of the movie booooooooring and not funny at all. The main character is really hard to like. Other characters are simple and not interesting. The only time when I had a grin on my face was when Charlie Sheen appeared in the police station scene and his first line was "Drugs?".
