Except Deathstrokes portrayal was WAYYY of but I still loved him here. Was a perfect villain. New 52 is my favorite timeline ever. Best five years of D.C.! Don't get annoyed by robins attitude because it's exactly the way he was in the comics. And as much as I love Jason Omara, his voice acting could use more expression. I don't want him to stop voicing Batman though. One of the best Batman voices ever if you ask me.

Son of Batman is a loose adaptation of Grant Morrison's and Andy Kubert's Batman story arc titled Batman and Son. In which we see as Batman is introduced to his son by Talia Al Ghul ,the daughter of Ra's Al Ghul ,who after an attack of Deathstroke Talia is forced to send Damian (that's who she named him) to Batman. Is the movie good, well yes it is a solid Bat's story with good action, an interesting story and mostly nice characters.Does it have issues? Yes and I will start with them.Firstly and more important the portrait of Deathstroke, it is totally inaccurate ,for he is shown willing to kill Damian and been a second in command of Ra's and he cheats in order to kill him. This is wrong on so many levels that I can't right it all down. But to keep it simple Slade was a U.S marine who joined a super-soldier program, became a mercenary and has a strict code of honor. Which means that he would never hurt intentionally children and cheat a fight! The second issue for me is that the Man-Bat army though an interesting idea to weaponize them ,they are treated as a generic swarm of enemies and not as super assassins. That would be much better and so the full potential of the experiments of Dr. Langstrom! Never the less the rest are good enough in order to make me not bother to much for those problems. To start the animation fits perfectly with the brutal fight scenes and the tone of the movie. Now I personally don't like the anime style in DC animated movies but her is done well so I will give it a pass.Next the story is really good for we see Bruce dealing with the problems of parenthood and I was quit entertain by that as well as the fact he is one of the persons of the world who can understand what it means to have a tough childhood. As he said to Damian"I may had traumas but I had friends and family to keep me down and well, as far as I understand you only had trainers". Truth be told Damian never knew anything else than training so Bat's quote is to the point.Lastly and that is my personal opinion the voice acting died a fantastic work bringing these iconic characters to life and their portrayal was done ,apart from Deathstroke, in a respective manner to the source material. All in all here we have a fine DC animated film and if you want go watch it. It has my approval.

This movie is not as bad as people think. Whoever thinks it is bad are spoiled on overrated live-action bullshit DC creates such as The Dark Knight Rises, Gotham and Arrow. People may complain that the voice acting is bad. If it was fully bad, the characters would be out of character. People complain that Deathstroke is too pompous, but the good part is he is still true to the comics, compared to Slade from Teen Titans, who was nothing more than a censored, although an amazing, version of the character. He is even better than Slade Wilson from Arrow, who shares nothing in common with the original except name and costume. Talia al Ghul is what she is supposed to be. This version at least has a role here, compared to the well-loved Talia from Dark Knight Rises, who was rushed and didn't make sense. Damien Wayne was perfectly true to the comics in being the son of Batman and Talia and raised by the League of Assassins. The Damien from the BTAB episode Knights of Tomorrow was changed in having Catwoman for a mother and being legit, whereas Damien is not even Batman's legit son in the comics. He is illegitimate. The animation looks perfect, not as crappy as the CGI Beware the Batman, which certainly does not deserve a 7.5. Action sequences are great. The idea of League of Assassins using Man- Bats is awesome. The story even makes sense. So people who bash it and prefer all poorly done overrated trash, think again.

This is my first ever review of an animated film, which is kind of strange considering I have seen pretty much every DC and Marvel film released in the past 15 years as well as a lot of Disney and Pixar. Anyway that's neither here nor there, back onto the review. The film is based on a 2006 story arc written by Grant Morrison who has written for so many characters and arcs isn't surprising his work is being adapted into films. The film starts off with a huge training camp being destroyed that we know is owned by the Al Ghul family, a young boy and Mother escape to the boys Father, who turns out to be none other than Batman himself. Batman takes his newly revealed son under his wing deciding to train and protect him from what has already happened.Bruce allows Damien to join him and Robin, in fighting crime, but keeping the criminals alive in typical Batman tradition, throughout this time a huge development happens which will soon have a incredible impact on the plot. The film has a pretty short run time, which isn't to bad due to the fact we do not really need that much characters time, however I would like to have had seen some more on screen relationship progression between Bruce and Damien. Also they did make Deathstroke a bit less of a badass than his usual-self, I mean he gets a beat down more than once by a teen none the less, however that does add to Damien being a very skilled fighter.Overall, the film is a very enjoyable watch full of Action, Ninjutsu style acrobatics and katana based fighting resulting in lots of violence and gore which surprised me when watching because I didn't realise the rating. The voice acting overall is pretty good besides Batman, Jason O'Mara seems to just be reading his lines not putting any emotion or passion into them, the rest of the cast is pretty good nothing special. It does have a strange animation about it, it almost feels like an 80s maybe 90s style look to it, I enjoyed it seen a few people complaining about though.
