The Guest (2014)
A soldier introduces himself to the Peterson family, claiming to be a friend of their son who died in action. After the young man is welcomed into their home, a series of accidental deaths seem to be connected to his presence.

I was expecting more of a back story after all this tension build up in the first hour, so this was a disappointment. A guy who escapes a team of highly-trained killers, is almost killed by two teenagers. Very convincing.
I more or less agree with a reviewer wholiked the first half better...as the violence escalates the acting drifts,,,,,buyt.....I'd never seen Dan Stevens before.....Not since Rutger Hauers narcissistic psychopath in 'The Hitcher' have i seen as compelling and clever aportrait of a deeply twisted guy playing such an amiable but startleingly open and strangley sympathetic pschopath. Facial expressions change in a moment from the deepest supressed wrath to ironic good nature...he has a great sense of underplay. SSupporting roles are allplausible enough as thesurreality escalates. Stevens has the sort of looks and charm of MelGibsopn in the first LethalWeapon without Gibson's over the top hysteria...a very controlled pefformance.Check it out...T
The Guest is actually a good movie. Even though the idea of the story is probably a bit cliché and quite predictable, but i do not complain. The acting is good, that is one plus point you can enjoy. I can feel the atmosphere change when the guest was being confronted of what he did, and also i can feel the tense when he intimidated Anna. .There's a plot hole in the story, but it doesn't really matter. We have to realize that the real story is actually about the failure project of the government when they tried to make a super soldier. As it apparently turned wrong, the government tried to hunt "the guest" down. And of course, you can easily guess the rest of the story ;) .Lesson learned: don't trust stranger who comes to your house and claims to know your family. . . . . Dan Stevens is a real fine LOL
I just can't believe some of the comments here. It's a totally predictable movie with no horror, thrill or action whatsoever. It's a wonder how it got this rating. You've probably seen hundred more movies with the same plot so just save your time and do anything else rather than watching this movie.The only interesting side of the movie could be the music. That's all
