I haven't rewatched this one in a long time. This is a great mobster movie, up there with Goodfellas and GodFather. The acting is great, although I found Joe Pesci as a lady's man a little hard to believe and doubt he would have been cast in todays Hollywood (you know if he was still young that is, but he was on fire in the 90's). I am not a fan of Sharon Stone but she is excellent in this movie as well. For a movie that is just under 3hrs it moves pretty fast, has lots of action gets pretty tense near the end and there are some brutally violent scenes. It also takes place in the 70's and 80's so everything looks dated and it's supposed to so this movie ages really well. I am adding this to my list of movies I will or would recommend to rewatch over the years.

Casino is undoubtedly a well made film. The acting is brilliant, especially from Sharon Stone and Joe Pesci. The writing is great and the story is interesting and intricate. It is brutally violent but these scenes are few and far between enough so that they don't distract from the story. However, it seems a little to familiar to another Scorsese classic, GoodFellas. The similarities are obvious. There's a voiceover throughout the film, the relationship between De Niro and Stone is greatly similar to Liota and Braccos relationship in GoodFellas. And Pesci is almost the same character. And in the end everyone is taken down. This movie is however, on a much bigger scale and is worth watching for sure. Just, watch a GoodFellas first. GoodFellas will always be better.

Casino is without a doubt one of Scorsese's most underrated picture to date. The character portrayal by DeNiro and Pesci are incredible. Well written and memorable performances - my personal favourite Pesci movie. The on screen chemistry between the two (and Sharon Stone) is what makes this film great. I've watched this film way to many times to count. Any time this is on TV I stop what I'm doing and watch till the end. The story and score of this film go together perfectly. A must watchMust see for any gangster film fan (any film fan in general)10/10
