Dragon Blade (2015)

Where to start? Jackie Chan just can't carry the lead role here - he entirely lacks the stature in every sense. John Cusack as a Roman General - whose idea was that? Because it really, really doesn't work. Neither character is remotely credible from start to finish. The chemistry between these two leads is entirely unconvincing, as much because the character development is so poor, and the dialogue and acting hopelessly wooden. A potentially interesting story badly told. Adrien Brody, though, makes a great villain.

How do people get funding for things like this. I just kept hoping it wold get better but to no avail. Was it meant to be this bad? Is this the style in China? I can expect this from Jackie but John should have know better. Was he hard up for money? Don't waste you time. I'll never get those two hours of my life back.

I really don't understand why someone wouldn't like this movie , why even say its bad!! If you are not a fan of history or martial arts you shouldn't even watch these kind of movies. Why bother and after that writing a whole god damn article about how bad its was and it wasn't of your liking! go watch some twilight and cry with the popcorn in your hands. Now to continue, it was a little confusing for people with no intelligence to understand what was going on. 1st the kid was high in command his brother the bad guy tried to kill him the good guy run away with him finds Jackie they become friends and they make more friends of all the different nations of the continent and then they fight the bad guys. Great emotional bond with the character and heart breaking deaths. Even the joker Captain i felt sorry for him. Please for the love of God of whatever religion. DON'T WATCH A MOVIE IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE CONCEPT. Its like going to watch super hero movies but you never saw cartoons, read comics or even heard about the hero movies and still you go and watch it and start commenting how the hero wore spandex !!!! Overall the movie was worth its time, not the best but not the worst like some (animals) described it. Thank you for reading my review and i hope you understand.

The movie is said to be based on real events; I'd love to find out more about them.I will admit that parts of it reminded me of 2007's "The Last Legion", with subtitles.I also could not make out the script during the close of the film: it starts with a plaque written in Mandarin and Latin, with additional scenes, but I have no idea what they said.Also, I was surprised at how old Jackie looks! Don't get me wrong, he is still fast and flexible, but the man has ... WRINKLES! I know, it's really petty, but then again, I'm a very shallow person, so there you go!
