I had been waiting to see this movie for a while and I don't feel I was let down. I love Dylan and Britt, and they work really great together. The movie was written very well in my opinion, and showed really just how awkward and hilarious being a teenager is. I really would've liked an epilogue of some sort at the end to wrap it up a bit better, and tie up the loose ends. I also would've liked some more information on their backgrounds in how their characters developed. All in all I did adore this movie, but there were definitely things that could've been better.

1/15/18. A great teen romance movie that captures the angst of first love. Even more alluring is the couple, O'Brien and Robertson, had the chemistry to make their initial attempt to be the first for each other believable. A teen flick with a lot of heart that is worth catching.

Yeah, this movie has one thing going for it, like, really, really big time: A jaw-droppingly beautiful female lead. The rest, who cares? The story, well, okay... anyway, it's a good showcase for Britt Robertson's beauty. Very artistically minded people behind the cameras, notice their obsession with light, and its romanticism. Look at the scenes with close-ups on hands, intertwined fingers, this definitely was a serious attempt at creating a classic romantic comedy. Okay, but then I have to go back now to what I was gonna ignore. The male lead, it's not that I don't like the dude, but his performance couldn't match Britt. So, he was supposed to be this not-Jock type, okay, but that's not what I am talking about. He wasn't convincing, not on the level that was needed, ah, that's what I've been trying to say. And I've just solved the reason for it all: real-life boyfriend package deal? Enabled Britt to do some intimate (non-explicit, mind you) scenes. Geared the movie, ruined it otherwise. Not without charm, and a fairly well-done psychological drama involving angst and insecurities. Lacks real zing, story-wise, I mean.Producers, you should also be careful when casting twenty-somethings as school-age children. Victoria Justice is very beautiful, but high school kid, no! The whole time she seemed like some sophisticated European lady frequenting kid's gatherings.I wondered while watching this... In twenty years time, will some bright spark be describing the old dug-up DVD he found, as a forgotten classic here? Because Britt's beauty is classic, and let's face it, fewer and fewer such beauties will frequent the earth, and this movie is a testament to Unbelievably Gorgeous Beauty.By the way, check her out in THE SECRET CIRCLE. You'd have to download, there is no DVD, shamefully so.

For a chick-flick, this is a lovely movie. I was forced to watch it & the pacing, the filmography-- everything fell into place accordingly. It's a lovely directed movie that speaks out realism in the perspective of teens. What I liked about this movie; regardless of what those two main characters were thinking of, be it rational or not, they still fell into that mistake due to "modernism" (quoting Aubrey herself) and the confusion caused by the society itself-- pretty much peer pressure in an indirect way. Although the raging hormones do play a significant role. The actors were adorable. I couldn't help but to "ship" them secretly in my head "JUST KISS ALREADY" was all I could mouth. They both interacted genuinely and sincerely, both being traditional & mature yet dying with curiosity of what people fuss about that is considered the most greatest thing in the act of humanity. The ending gave that positive light- a bit whimsical but still one should put an effort into conveying his/her feelings. Can't say it's the WOW girl movie, but certainly one of the nicest flicks I've seen out there. I won't mind seeing it again. Good rating cause in good mood. Blame it on the movie :)
