Bachelorette (2012)

I can't agree enough with everyone that gave this movie a one star rating. It's absolutely trash. Will Ferrell produced the movie, so I hoped it would be better. Unfortunately, this movie was one of the worst films I've ever seen. The characters are nasty and shallow. The writers seem to think that constantly talking about sex will bring some laughs, but it gets old really fast. Who thinks using cocaine as regularly as getting a drink is okay? It's not funny. This movie wouldn't know funny if it bit the writers in the face. Dark comedy??? Not buying that description. That's just an excuse as to why it isn't funny. Disturbing? Yes. Funny? No! Why do female actors do these movies and cry foul in the entertainment business? They need to stop hash tagging the "Me Too" movement and turn down these roles. Absolutely disgusting.

DO AVOID IT IF YOU CAN. I happened to be in front of the TV while this movie was on. In essence it is a story of bunch of single women whose oversized friend is getting married to an eligible bachelor. The first thing I noticed was that every 30 seconds or so there is a loud screaming scene. Women start shouting at each other for no good reason. Then the story is so bizarre and cheap. Women are jealous of their friend and as if they were 3 years old they act on it in the worst possible way. There are supposed to be jokes but they are so bland and then every now and then there is a reference to a sex act which I am not sure if supposed to be a joke or not e.g. right after they have torn the bride's dress in half, suddenly you notice one of the girls is discussing how much head she was receiving from a certain partner. There are some good actresses involved but they act so unconvincingly that you really think less of them. It was too much for me and I stopped after watching the first half.

I think they were trying to make a female version of the hangover. It is not terrible, but I didn't really like it. The main characters are not nice people and they don't really learn from their mistakes. The crude sex jokes by semi attractive women formula has never really been for me. It is not that funny or interesting, but it is okay for light entertainment.

This movie made me realized that a group of friends are not necessarily friends with each other. There is one glue to the friendship of these girls. Definitely made me hate the other girls, I understood them, but they definitely are not the kind of people I will hang around with.The ending is OK, not so dramatic, no tears shed here, but it was not a total waste of time to watch this movie.I was hoping for apologies here and there, flashbacks, etc., to get the feel of their friendship, but did not see it at all.Keep your expectation low when watching this movie.
