Whilst watching this film I was expecting a shark attack and I was very disappointed. Especially in a half an hour period of the film when the people stranded decided to no longer attempt to get on the boat and they were vunerable and once again no sharks pounced. There were many occasions and attempts that were not thought through at all and were very poor attempts to survive. Also, this film was extremely predictible, therefore gaining it not only a rating of 1 but also the title of, in my humble opinion, the worst film of all time.

When the first realize they can't get back on the boat they try one thing then doggy paddle for the next hour or two before trying something else. So many things they could have tried that they didn't. The movie was frustrating in that regard. However, if they used their brains then there wouldn't be a movie. I could go on and on and dissect their idiotic actions but ill allow you to judge the movie for yourself. Bottom line... not a bad movie, definitely keeps your attention but frustrating to say the least. Im not gonna even get into the end scene that leaves you scratching your head and what is going on. You'll see what I'm talking about.

Don't be fooled by the title: Open Water this is not. Open Water was superb, this is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Every plot and sub-plot has holes big enough to drive trucks through. The dialogue is atrocious, the acting wooden. The cast and crew of Open Water should be offended: how did this pile of crap get to use the same name and pretend it is a sequel? There is no overlap between the two movies, other than scenes of people being adrift on the ocean. No commonality in characters, director, writers, actors.Avoid at all costs.

Director Hans Horn has brought to the screen one of the most powerful high seas adventure and moving human dramas in a decade. Capturing all the suspense, despair, and ultimate triumph of the human spirit that distinguished the first Open Water, Horn adds is own personal touches of heart breaking intensity. Starring a cast of highly talented actors who give performances of incredible depth, this film presents characters who we grow to love and care about. The imagery is haunting and the thrills unrelenting as these flesh and blood people fight for survival against nature itself. A motion picture that leaves an impression and has a lasting impact on anyone fortunate enough to be numbered in its audience.
