My absolute favorite movie of all time. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are a hilarious match made in heaven, and with an incredible cast to back them up (Steve Martin, Greg Kinnear, Dax Shepard, Holland Taylor, Maura Tierney, Romany Malco, etc.) this movie is full of laughs and heartfelt moments from beginning to end.

A lot of laughs are to be had in this movie, an engaging buddy comedy with the excellent proved comediennes Amy Poehler and Tina Fey.The leads seem to work really well together as I believe that they have done so in the past, perhaps on Saturday Night Live? The dialogue is excellent and is the main component of the film. I feel certain that a lot of it is ad-libbed. The best lines were definitely reserved for the father of the baby (Dax Shepard), said sometimes with an almost embarrassed air; as some of them are somewhat politically incorrect, but generally just outrageously idiotic and ignorant.A jolly entertainment for most modern adults, possibly not however for those of a conservative bent.

What could possibly wrong it's gonna be when two wild and smart comedians, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were paired in a film. "Baby Mama" is actually just a safe and lightweight drama-comedy but at least it's main purpose to entertain and deliver some laughs were finely accomplished. There's no doubt that chemistry between it's two leading actresses Tina Fey and Amy Poehler was the only factor to bring this movie some lives. Their performance determine how this film is going to be and make the two opposite personality from Kate Holbrook and Angie Ostrowiski enjoyable to watch. Some jokes and scenes in this movie are silly but funny at the same time like the dramatic scene when Angie is ready to be Kate's surrogate at hospital surrounded with romantic soundtrack at the background, so hilarious. However, "Baby Mama" couldn't take any risks from it's quite complex material that makes it not special and passable. Also how this movie solved the ending with win-win solution were rather disappointing than sweet and has more or less ruined premise they had built from the beginning.

In my opinion this movie is a must see. Amy Poehler and Tina Fey combined leaves your sides hurting. Their subtle humor makes this movie a hit. I have seen this movie over ten times now and it still remains one of my all time favorites. Contrary to many of my peers I find the story line and cast a riot. The contrast between the uptight business women (Fey), and the silly fashion designer wannabe who just wants to go out and have fun provide all different types of people to relate the the comedic situations the two get into. This film is by no means Oscar worthy, yet it is a nice simply comedy that is easy to watch. They do a very good job in the movie to make the audience feel connected to the characters.
