The Experiment (2010)

Maybe because I expected a movie much more close to the real experiment: In my opinion its a really bad movie. A lot of the important aspects of the real experiment are missing. For example the prisoners in the real experiment were taken by police cops to the 'jail'. Instead of that, lots of things are added to the movie that didn't happen in the real experiment. Especially the amount of violence and sexual abuse is aggressively and as far as I know has no relation what so ever with the real experiment.If it was a 100% fictional movie maybe a good movie for Some people. But it shouldn't be connected to the real thing...

This movie is no where near as good as the original German film . So to all those who say that this movies deserves anything more than a one your out of your minds . Go watch the German movies it has the same tittle it from 2001 . Then watch this crap & tell me this is good . Avoid this film . I think that Hollywood needs to think about hitting great actors not just good looking ones like cam . I mean he's very handsome but he's not winning an Oscar anytime soon . The main problem with this film is that they did not focus on making the film better than the original & they just focus on making it different but it does not work in their favor . Maybe if they would have hired the same director maybe that could have helped the film . I mean their is a reason why it went straight to DVD hello that's a warning sign .

Look, I'm a type of guy who doesn't like to get pretentious. Give me a black-and-white Dawn of the Dead and a color version of Dawn of the Dead, and I'll definitely pick the latter.The people complaining about the Hollywood remake in THIS movie, though, going on and on about the movie **dare I say it?** Das Experiment, are kinda like those guys who'd go for the black and white version of Dawn of the Dead.Don't get me wrong-- that's understandable. Some people like the plots and scripts in old versions. I can buy that.What I CAN'T buy, though, is giving this movie a 1 out of 10 because Das Experiment was better. I mean, dude, the acting was God-driven, and I have never been so angry at a character in my life. When I saw that crazy Whitaker get that hell-pounding from Adrien Brody at the end, I felt a burst of adrenaline pulsing straight through my brain and just jumping up and down. I have not experienced that kind of satisfaction in a long time.Look, the movie's great. Tension, check. Atmosphere, check. Acting, double check. The only things that bothered me were a couple of plot holes and the abrupt ending. I was kinda hoping they'd show more of what happened after. I get that the movie was based on the Stanford Experiment, but plenty of fact driven movies have blended creative elements in for entertainment.But dammit, the movie was great. You're missing out big time if you don't watch it. Yeah, I get it, you guys think the German Das Experiment film was the real thing. But remakes don't always have to be crap, and The Experiment was amazing on its own.Conclusion: think of all those 1 out of 10 rate reviews that mention Das Experiment as people who like the black and white version of Dawn of the Dead. They're just trying to sound smart.

Come on now people, The cast was great and the movie was awesome!! Forest Whittaker does not fail us to impress us in every movie he makes. Of course, he went Way over board in this one. And lets not forget Cam Gigandet, besides he being such a hottie, he did good in this movie.Honestly the story was great. And everything that took place was bound to happen. Except of course, i was not expecting all the things i saw. Specially people pissing in other's faces. Disgusting!!!Overall a great movie. I did not know this was a remake of an original movie, which I'm sure the original was better. They always are, but because i have never seen it i can only go based on this one. I say you give it a try, Its a great movie. Sadly with a trippy ending. I was expecting a little more, and i was confused on weather everyone got money or just one. But overall great movie.
