Darkseid decides he's going to use Supergirl in a nefarious scheme. A really well done adaptation from World's Finest, which re-introduces Supergirl before the new 52 changed her. Best part is Superman laying it out on Darkseid. A really well done, enjoyable movie.

Superman/Batman: Apocalypse(2010) Starring: Summer Glau, Ed Asner, Tim Daly, Andre Braugher, Kevin Conroy, and Susan Eisenberg Written By: Tab Murphy Directed By: Lauren Montgomery Review THE END IS NEAR. I'm hoping that the second half of Justice League is a little bit like this, because it would be so cool to see Supergirl on the big screen with all the other JL members like Flash, Cyborg, Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman. Because for those of you know me, she is my second favorite DC character right after the big kryptonian himself, Superman. Batman discovers a mysterious teen-aged girl with superhuman powers and a connection to Superman. When the girl comes to the attention of Darkseid, the evil overlord of Apokolips, events take a decidedly dangerous turn. The only complaint is that since this is the first animated movie on Supergirl that she would have been explored a little more. But other than that I like what they did with her and I liked how she was portrayed. As you know I don't talk much about these animated films, so i'm just going to end the review by saying I give this a four and a half out of five.

If you're fat, ugly or nerdy looking, don't expect to get into the DC Comics superhero clique... all those present are either hunky broad chested men ripped to infinity, or sexy skinny babes in cleavage and navel revealing outfits. Some may complain, but I say thank goodness this is one genre that hasn't fallen to the lamebrained political correctness that's befallen a lot of our culture. Go and sort your own life out, instead of trying to modify everything to suit your insecurities.Considering the amount of female characters in the film outnumber the males by precisely 50 to 1 (mainly on account of a lot of the action taking place on Wonder Woman's secret Amazonian island, and some extended scenes involving four vicious ladies who form an evil fighting quartet known as The Furies) it seems rather unfair that Batman and Superman are the only ones who are billed on the cover. They're the franchise's biggest stars though, and therefore it's main selling point. Again, get used to it.It's wall-to-wall fighting, which is much more intense than your traditional animation... hence the 12 certificate. There's individuals slammed into walls at light speed, burnt to a crisp with lasers, almost being devoured by huge beasties... and get this... STABBINGS that result in BLOOD and DEATH. You wouldn't get anything like this on He Man. Oh, I almost forgot, it's also an origin story for a teenage Supergirl, so we have some cute bits involving her introduction into our world. Not to mention, some great repartee between The Caped Crusader and The Man Of Steel, which is worth the price of admission alone. So, yeah. Pretty cool. 6/10

I found Public Enemies to be disappointing. This was just an absolute mess. I was able to watch it, but it seemed so cheap and shoddy that I'm sure DC are churning these out for the cash. First of all, this shouldn't have Batman in the title. He's barely in it and when he is he's simply useless. He is also ALWAYS Batman, making him an incredibly flat character. Superman is just as dull as he usually is, only this time he comes off as a weird sexually obsessed cousin, as he tries to protect Supergirl. Not much of this makes sense. Wonder Woman arrives and attacks Supergirl, in an effort to demonstrate Supergirl's destructive powers "What if this had been the middle of the day and people were here?" Don't attack her then you dumb bitch. It seems more aimed at girls, which is fine, but then they should have put Supergirl in the title. Instead you might sit down to enjoy Batman and Superman, only to be treated to a shopping montage (I'm serious). Still some nice fights and stuff, but this storyline should be put to death. The one shots such as Under the Red Hood are far more impressive.
