21 & Over (2013)

The other night I thought I can try to find something on Netflix to watch. Well I thought I can give this one a try, and yep! It took away 93 Minutes of my life away. I have watched a few wild and crazy, dirty, comedies on Netflix. I had even viewed Jackass present Bad Grandpa, And it was better than this. Also on the other hand anyone who loves the Hangover films will not be pleased with this film. So my advice is to not to watch this. The plot is all about these two men getting their Drunk friend home before His father gets to him finding him not being there. And the two can never find out where he lives. The two get's caught in Dangerous games, runs from thugs, get caught in a female sexual under world. And many of the scenes are not funny.

"21 & Over" is your fairly average teenage comedy of young guys ending up in awkward and hilarious situations. And the movie does follow the blueprint for those particular types of movies page by page, line by line.The movie doesn't really bring anything new to the genre that hasn't already been seen or done in other movies in the same particular genre of comedies.The story is about the friends Miller (played by Miles Teller) and Casey (played by Skylar Astin) who go unannounced to pay their friend Jeff Chang (played by Justin Chon) a surprise visit for his 21st birthday. Jeff has a huge interview set up by his father the next day, and he is forced out for a night on the town by his friends. Once the alcohol starts flowing, inhibitions are lowers and the party kicks up into gear."21 & Over" is entertaining enough for what it is, just bear in mind that it is far from innovative or groundbreaking. There are some nice enough scenes and situations throughout the movie, however you are not very likely to lay down flat on your back laughing hard.What makes the movie worth watching a single time is the chemistry between the three lead actors (and their characters) and some of the situations that they end up in."21 & Over" gets a mediocre 5 out of 10 stars from me.

Review: I really didn't enjoy this teenage version of the Hangover, because the acting was terrible, the storyline was ridiculous and it SO unrealistic. The whole teenagers at college thing becomes boring and its nothing that we haven't seen before in movies like American Pie. There obviously left it open for a sequel, which I won't be rushing to see, but judging by the money that it made, I'm sure that they will be laughing all the way to the bank. The casting was appalling and it just seemed like someone has taken lines from every teenager movie. On the plus side, its not long and there are a couple of scenes that were slightly funny. Disappointing!Round-Up: I really can't relate to this teenage at college movies, because they seem so over the top. If this is what happen when you go to college in America then I really don't know how any gets on with any work. Anyway, its definitely not in the league of the original Hangover but it looked fun to make. You have the geek, the wild one and the drunk Chinaman which gets out of hand. Sounds Familiar? Loads of drinking games and parties, which you wish that you was at, but that's about it. Nothing really original.Budget: $13million Worldwide Gross: $42millionI recommend this movie to people who are into there teenage college movies with a concept just like the Hangover. 2/10
