great direction with mindblowing perfoemance laced with soul stirring music makes it best ever movie..Hrithik lived as akbar no one can replace him .aish is good...asuthosh one of best director to make period film entertaining..arr music extrordinary..cant pick one best song..watch this movie and experience the magic..

Every scene, every dialogue is so powerful. This is by far the BEST movie Bollywood has ever made. Just brilliant. The music is magical. A R Rehman has composed and directed some great songs but Man Mohana in this movie is at another level. Beautifully sung. I never write reviews on IMDb but this movie is so good, it deserves a 10 star review. I just bought a DVD of it on eBay so that I can watch it again and again on my 50 inch screen! The bigger the screen, the better the movie experience will be for this movie. It is magnanimous in every respect. Kudos to Hrithik, Aishwarya and Ashutosh Gowariker. This will remain etched in the memories of Indian audiences forever. Thank you so much for giving such a great cinematic gift.

It definitely will take us back to the old era.Hritik Roshan was extra ordinary and Aish looked amazing. I was very much involved in the movie and never felt like I m watching Aish and Hritik.Hritik is the best choice for Akbar and Aish for Jodha.I haven't seen real Akbar but after seeing this movie, I have an what kind of a person Akbar was. It gives us a feeling that not all mughal emperors were same.There are some qualities in Akbar which made him great.They have very well captured Akbars characteristic feature and tried to present him to the best that they can.You won't be disappointed after watching this movie.It has everything that a super hit movie need to have in it.

We first saw this film in the cinema and were duly impressed by its sweep and splendour: the colours and action sequences were very impressive. However, watching it at home on DVD the languorous nature of the director's handling of his subject became (unfortunately) more and more apparent. Above all, though, what disappointed me greatly was the extremely poor nature of the music by A R Rhaman composed for this film. Compared to the great (and late) Naushad, this aspect of the film fell completely and totally flat when watching the DVD. Music-wise, then, this film comes nowhere the great classic music provided by Naushad for, for example, "Mughal-E-Azam" (one of the truly greats), "Umrao Jaan", and others.
