Dragonball Evolution (2009)
On his 18th birthday, Goku receives a mystical Dragonball as a gift from his grandfather. There are only six others like it in the whole world, and legend has it that whoever possesses all seven will be granted one perfect wish. When the arrival of a dark force triggers a tragedy, Goku and his companions are propelled into an epic quest to collect the seven Dragonballs and save the Earth from destruction.

I have never seen any of the TV series but, I thought that this movie wasn't very good. In my opinion, they kept repeating the same thing over and over, getting very annoying. The movie didn't really expand on the story line and didn't have very much about it. Unless they'd advanced on the story line, the movie shouldn't have been as long as it was because it just dragged on. Many people may disagree with me but that is just my opinion. I thought the movie did have potential and opportunities but it was almost like they'd turned down every chance they got to make it a movie worth seeing. Unfortunately, it is not a particularly great movie and I definitely wouldn't rush to see it again.
In my opinion, this is the absolute worst movie I have ever seen in my life. From Goku shooting out fire farts from his hands and turning into a werewolf (?), to a pointless unmapped plot to the casting of Caucasian actors to play Asian roles, there is absolutely no way to spin this movie into a half decent flick. If I had to choose eye cancer or to watch Dragonball Evolution over again, I'd choose eye cancer every time. Don't waste 85 minutes of your life watching this crap, just stick to the anime.
Nothing in this film makes sense and I cant believe that the people involved had the audacity to release it and charge people for it. The fact that this film exists proves that not anyone can make a movie. I am biased with this film as I am a true DragonBall Z fan. But I feel that majority of the people who paid to watch this film are fans of the anime. Everything about this film is garbage. From the acting to the story to the dialogue. If you want to know what NOT to do when making a film, just watch this. The people who worked on this film clearly had no respect for the fans or the amazing story on which it's based. If you are going to watch it, then please prepare yourself for what I feel is the worst movie ever made. Doesn't deserve a grade of 1.

I love the fact that I can watch my favourite anime on my flat screen mirror!Love the animations and fighting scenes, it's almost as if I can feel the pain he is feeling.
