They had me at time travel, but they lost me with a terrible story. This 2005 movie is really dated, and not really something that you can enjoy today. I like Vinnie Jones and I think we all like Sean Astin, Ivana Milicevic from Banshee is in there too, and between the three of them you would expect something much better. From the start the story is just a complete mess, and the players are all just running around uncertain of where they should be, there must have been a lot of angles shot for each time loop, but it really seems to have confused most of the actors a lot. The gun play is like an old episode of A-team, as they bullets fly, and only when it is good for the story does anyone ever get hit. Really sorry I missed this one when it came out so that I could now be 9 years older, and have perhaps forgotten most of it, sadly that is not the case for me, and I did not Enjoy this movie at all. I really wanted to like this, and if you asked my Son he would tell you I give time travel movies way more time than they deserve, but because this is so bad, and I'll be more specific; The acting is awful, the time travel is handled floppily, and the action is aimed at those with IQ's in the single digits. So stay far away from this even if you are a time travel junkie like I thought I was until watching this.

This movie doesn't even deserve a rating! That's right, it was that horrible. I got ten minutes into the show and I was bored out of my skull, but because of my unfortunate sense of curiosity I thought "Well, maybe it will get better." and continued watching. The problem was, it didn't get better, it got worse! The show had no creativity whatsoever. Three fourths of the time they were having shoot out scenes and using a rotating camera to twirl around while they shot bullets at each other. Not to mention near the middle they had a two part scene. They shot two different scenes that were supposed to be describing what was going to happen next. One was of course supposed to be left out, but instead they put both scenes in the movie and so had two different things happening. I'll be honest, I only rented this off from Netflix because it had Sean Astin. Unfortunately I did not read the reviews, although to be quite honest, even if I had read the reviews there were still people oohhhhing and ahhhhing over it. I think that this show only carries ratings because it drove it's viewers mad. I can't blame them. Sitting in front of a televisions screen for two hours with a movie like that could drive anyone mad, especially when you realize, that's two hours of your life you will never get back. If you have any sense at all, stay far away from Slipstream. Go rent a nice sci-fi movie, it doesn't matter which one, it will be better then Slipstream, guaranteed.

there are bad movies. slipstream happens to be a real bad one. the idea itself is cool. but that's it. really. bad script. bat acting. stupid characters. plot holes.come on, the bank-robbers in the bus start to sing? i just don't believe this is real. i feel i've just lost another 80 minutes precious time.the explanation, which characters can travel back in time, and what will remain the same (clothes, money, but not the bullets) is a joke. probably the best part is, when the time-travel-ipod-like-gadget gets hooked on via USB to a laptop, because it's screen broke. you can probably think, that this movie is a spoof of its own. avoid this one.go and watch "the butterfly effect".

It's not as awful as some people think, or as good as a few think. In fact, the average rating of 4.6 is about right. I'd give it perhaps a little lower, about a 4.It never ceases to amaze me how a Hollywood director will spend millions, even tens of millions of dollars or more to produce a film, and try to create an illusion, and then shoot it all to heck by getting sloppy and sticking an obvious wrench into the believability. Without giving any spoilers, I spotted two very obvious believability wrenches. This is a film with quirky direction. I guess they tried to make it different. Well, I guess they succeeded.I call it a "minor" time travel tale because that's simply how it feels.
