Alright listen. I will tell you every little error with this movie. First off, this movie was just straight up weird. It was nowhere close to being relevant to the first movie. It starts off w Balto having trippy dreams about being chased by a raven that's constantly making obnoxious noises. He then gets woken up by Boris. And now let me tell you about him for a minute. Boris looks NOTHING like himself in the first movie. In the first movie, he looked really good. But in the second one, he looked nothing like it. His voice actor was not horrible, but you can instantly tell it's another actor. Now Balto's actor had only just a couple parts of the movie that he sounded decent. Besides those parts, his new voice was garbage. His animation was also really bad and looked nothing like the first movie. Jenna's voice actor was the worst. She was a huge part of the first movie but was hardly seen at all in the sequel AND she had a really bad voice actor .Then Balto and Boris go to this random totem pole that was never there in the first movie, but magically appeared in the sequel. Then Balto and Boris enter the town. Now the town looked NOTHING like the town in the first movie. It looked like a completely different place. Then after that, this annoying dog barks constantly in a Scottish accent telling Balto That Jenna is having the pups. When he gets to the shed, Jenna looks horrible. Her animation was very sloppy and looked like they drew her lousy. It was really bad. Then every pup gets adopted except Aleu cause she looked like a wolf. (I'd adopt a half wolf, half dog any day.) then she gets mad when Balto finally tells her she looks like a wolf after almost being shot by a hunter. She then runs away for like 4 days and gets Balto to chase after her. The mouse was annoying, the wolves Niju, and those 3 other guys look wack. They don't even look like wolves. Then they meet some psychic wolf that can become "one with the tree" and fly out of it like Casper. Then they have to jump a huge ice bridge to survive. Then Aleu feels it's her destiny to lead the pack cause she feels out of place back at home. (I understand that, but it's a little unnecessary to do that if it meant leaving everyone she loved) that's one thing that bothered me. The last time she even saw Jenna was when she was mad. Then she just tells Balto "tell her I found my home" and leaves without seeing her own mom. Jenna was probably upset about that. The spirit type story really threw me off. It didn't tie in with the first movie and the spirit story just doesn't belong in Balto. It really doesn't. Then I noticed parts when Aleu and Balto would say a whole sentence, but their mouths wouldn't coordinate with the voices. It was really bad animation. NOTHING like the original. (The first Balto was amazing 10/10) the songs were also really bad and made no sense. So in total, the animation was bad, the voices were completely different and sounded nothing like the first movie, the story was horrible, and voice coordination was off. It was just a bad movie. I give respect for the team trying to make a sequel to the amazing first Balto, but it failed miserably

"Balto" -the first one- is one of my all-time favourite flicks. When I found out that there was a "Balto 2" via "The Grinch" on video, I was really excited and really wanted to see it. Years later we got "Balto" & "Balto 2" on DVD and we all watched the second movie first and I was ultimately disappointed. The story: Balto and Jenna get together and have puppies. However, Balto keeps on and on having dreams about pursuing a raven that just beckons him. All but one of the puppies is adopted and the one who doesn't- who's called Aleu (atrociously voiced by Lacey Charbet)- has no idea why. Balto tells her that he's half wolf and she's inherited the wolf look. Aleu gets all upset and runs away. Balto sets out to find her with the help of the raven and must overcome some tests about a fox, a mongoose gang, a bear and elk with Aleu who finds out who she really is along the way and her destiny (which is to lead a pack of wolves after their elderly leader is nearing death). The reasons why I don't like this film?: Terrible animation (the characters don't even look the same from the fist film!), stupid songs, a dire story all together and what I think is the cherry on top of it all, they don't have the original voice actors! In short: don't waste your life on this.

Though it doesn't hold up to the wonderful original Balto, this is one of the very few animated film sequels that didn't totally make me gag. The storyline is completely different (thankfully not going the 'Oh, no! Another epidemic!' route one would expect) and the entire movie takes a Native American twist, focusing less of dog-sleds and more on the Wolf roots of both Balto and his daughter, Aleu. The songs are touching and beautiful, my favorites being "Taking You Home" and "Who You Really Are". "Taking You Home" is probably the only song I've ever heard from an animated film that has ever made me cry- and it take a lot to make me cry. This film, combined with the original Balto film, would be a wonderful little gift pack for anyone who's a fan.

I kinda didn't like this sequence. First of all the animations (as many other animations in other movie sequels) lack A LOT. It's not that perfect animation anymore that have been offered in the original. Jenna is not so nice anymore (not so detaild and especially the white-yellow tummy fur instead of white-red tummy fur). Balso the same, not so detailed anymore. The change of voice maybe it is the biggest drawback. Not hearing the perfect voice of Jenna, Boris, Balto voice from the first movie it's just sad (omg I was inlove especially of Boris voice, and Jenna's too :) ) Besides that the story really lack. I mean no more human interaction, only a average story of "finding out who I am", and most important, the introduction of mysticism? I really didn't liked that. It isn't fitting with the Balto idea. Everything was to straightforward, and my opinion is that the story was really weak. Heard that Balto III is much more closer to the original, so I hope that will be a little better as story side, tho I don't think the lack of animation beauty is fixed and probably will have the same one as this first sequel had. After I think I will see again the original so my perception about it won't be changed because of the weak sequel (as I said hope III will be much closer to the original)
