Killing Season (2013)

Two veterans of the Bosnian War, one American, one Serbian, find their unlikely friendship tested when one of them reveals their true intentions. Killing Season is a film that alot of people didn't appreciate and to be honest i'd like to give my own side of the story, first of all both Robert De Niro and John Travolta were brilliant especially Travolta who was amazing and menacing with that Serbian accent that was really scary at times and 2nd of all there's some terrific action packed sequences and one scene in particular involving John's character and an arrow that looked like it hurt alot. As for the ending? To me it showcased forgiveness and the guts of respecting the opponent and that to me? It means something. (A+)

I just finished watching this and loved it. I understand it's historically incorrect but for once we have an action movie with two great actors, character development and good cinematography and you all trash it. The movie Spring Breakers has people saying 10/10 and this is 1/10 are you kidding me? First off Travolta steals the show with his new accent and is truly menacing. Someone said Deniro did horrible in this, don't ever talk about Deniro like that. Mans been going since the 60s and can still play a better tough guy than anyone out there today. Yes it is very inaccurate in the historical sense but I know that isn't the first time Hollywood did that so ignore that and what you have is a well filmed survival movie about two master hunters stalking each other through the woods. I found it intense, gritty and quite enjoyable

John Travolta played a Russian war veteran, and he had the best Russian accent I have ever heard. I honestly did not expect him to have such a strong accent, but it was done very well. Robert also played a really emotional role, and I feel he did very well under the given circumstances. I was impressed with the acting, and I was impressed seeing two movie legends battle it out. Overall, I gave the movie a 7 out of 10 because I feel some moments could have been better. I feel a few moments he could have killed him, and he should have. But overall, the acting was very good. I just feel it should have had a more realistic element to it.

as soon as I heard J. Travolta's fake Serbian accent, I called my dentist and told him I was going to be able to make it after all. Trying to listen to Travolta's fake accent is like pulling teeth, pure torture, he is as much Bosnian, as I am Bat Man; and Bobby Deniro, what is going on there, ever since the movie Heat, it's like his acting is taking a nose-dive, don't get me wrong, he still up there, in the top three best, he still a monster of an actor, but I guess it's the movies he has picked, not necessarily his acting, after all, he has picked some real good ones too, such as Killer Elite, The Score, and even the Meet the Parents movies. I was completely fooled with the two big names, I figured, they would simply make Travolta talk as little as possible with that fake accent, and the movie would be a complete hit, but I guess that was not the case.
