I watched this movie today at the beginning it was OK but i actually felt that it was too long because the music is not as good as Disney channel other movies like teen beach movies but there are some pretty good song especially the duet between Mitchie and Shane it was the best song in the movie i didn't like the choreography so much but at least the message of the movie was good camp rock is about a girl who want to spend her summer vacation at a musical camp called camp rock i liked that Shane wants to discover who is the mystery girl who is singing because that reminds me of Eric from the little mermaid when Ariel sings to him and he want to be with this mystery girl with the great voice so i liked that from the movie over all it's not so bad but not as good as other Dcoms.

I disagree with the bad reviewers for this movie? This movie was sweet and innocent.I really liked the character development in the characters that occurs throughout the story. I especially loved Shane and Mitchie's song. I also enjoyed the dancing and singing people did in the camp. I think people have actual talent in this movie to dance and sing. The story had me interested through the end and Im not even a fan of Disney channel movies that much.Demi Lovato might not be the best actress but she sure is decent. I also enjoyed the comic relief provided by Kevin Jonas and the bitter Joe Jonas in the beginning of the movie who starts to develop.Im not saying this movie deserves and Oscar award but it is an enjoyable movie to watch :) Come on, it has Comedy,Drama,Action, and sweet pure romance. What else can you want from a Disney movie? :)

Camp Rock is somehow like High School Musical in a much better way. It focus more on the plot of the story instead of the songs. The Jonas Brothers did a great job with their movie debut. Demi Lovato has amazing vocals, much better than Vanessa Hudgens, she has a great smile and personality too. I am counting myself a big fan of hers. The songs are very good esp. Mitchi's last one. The dancing was also impressive. What I love the most about the movie is the ending. How Shane incorporated his song into hers was really brilliant. Their chemistry was breathtaking.Honestly, I had really so much fun watching this movie and its sequel.I wish they make a CR3 soon.

Disney wanted to cash on the success (on video anyway) of High School Musical, so instead of going with a spin-off, they went with creating another musical mash up for kids. Basically teenage Mitchie Torres (Demi Lovato) is a girl desperate for a great summer at a prestigious rock music camp, but she can only attend if she and her mother Connie (Maria Canals-Barrera) work in the kitchen as cooks. Also visiting the camp for a career revamp and to watch rising stars is Shane Gray (Joe Jonas), teen lead singer of the pop band Connect 3, with fellow members Jason (Kevin Jonas) and Nate (Nick Jonas). He overhears a girl, Mitchie obviously, singing a song with a great voice, and he is desperate to find this girl, and not realising he has been talking to her quite a lot. There is the point where the bitchy girl exposes Mitchie as being int he kitchen and lying about it, but everyone forgives her and she does eventually get to sing and love with Shane for the happy ending. Oh, and the last minute contestant of the Rock Camp is the winner. Also starring Meaghan Jette Martin as Tess Tyler, Alyson Stoner as Caitlyn Geller, Julie Brown as Dee La Duke, Daniel Fathers as Brown Cesario, Anna Maria Perez De Tagle as Ella and Jasmine Richards as Peggy. The songs are very cheesy (only one or two are nearly catchy I will admit), the young performers are too naive and predictable, and that is exactly how the film is as well, so while the kids will be entertained, I wasn't completely. Adequate!
