The Art of Getting By (2011)

This movie what should I tell about it , " This Movie is Just Great & Amazing " and this is my opinion after watching it . Before going into this movie I did not expect that it would be so amazing , entertaining, moving and heart touching .This movie relaxed Me. Since beginning till end you will not find it boring even for a second. This is among those movies which have "Feel Element " " Love Element" in them . When you will watch it you will feel it .I will not reveal anything about the plot and story of this movie which I always do whenever I write a review for a movie so that you can enjoy it to the fullest. I rarely write review for movies because I think that I am not so good in reviewing movies but This Movie forced me to do it because It is and was such a Nice, Great & Amazing Movie . Just Go & watch it to Enjoy & to Feel it . For me this movie is worth 10 Stars out of 10 ********** .

I had low expectations going into this film, perhaps expecting another '500 Days of Summer' rip off, but no, this is a good film that more than deserves the praise it receives.The two leads are very good in their roles, and the script allows them both to have moments that mean we root for them as people.It's honest about teenage life, and doesn't sugar coat moments just to make this a good popcorn movie.It's rare that I watch a film that I engage with so much, and one I can see myself going back and watching again and again.The Art of Getting By is one of these films.

Alright, i just registered because of this movie, it is so full of BS, its type of movie which makes people really angry after watching it, but if someone likes that than OK... and who the f gave it rating of 6.4.. more like 0.4. Hm now what to write for another five lines.. in movie that girl Sally is shown like a little slut, but no sex scenes anywhere, another minus to the movie when they are already showing her as a slut, to add that when i am on the subject... if anyone decides to watch movie anyway, watch it like 50 minutes and shut it down there, until there main char is kinda cool, consider that an end of it or you'll be sorry for not listening to me..

...about these characters? Not I, after watching this teen puppy love snoozefest.Spoiled white urban teens with piles of money, natural slender good looks (though the female lead looks about 12 years older than the male, here--fire the makeup person!), plenty of money to buy clothes and cosmetic dentistry, no real talent and no real problems still manage to make whining about how hard life is into full-time occupation. The only enjoyment I had from the movie was imagining alien faeries zapping them away from their cell phones, 2000 square foot New York apartments, private schools, and laptops and into a tin hut in Zimbabwe where they are starving, beaten daily, and dying of a dread disease. Or maybe a giant meteor could have just exploded over the private school depicted and saved the world from all of these types. The lead male character is all angsty about being an artist when he draws crappy stuff like any 12- year-old boy does. I thoroughly hated the lead characters, couldn't have cared less if they slept together in their self-centered ways or not, wondered why the rich private school didn't have a depressive kid in therapy, did not believe for a second that young people this rich and pretty wouldn't have oodles of friends. I assume I'm seeing the filmmaker making a film about his own life, and I don't like him one tiny bit after seeing this. A star above 1 because the mikes seemed to work and most of the scenes were lit, and the music was okay. But ish, these characters!
