When I see "expert" reviewers rate a really good storyline so low, all I think about is the fact that 99.9% have NEVER created anything of their own. This is a fine film. Perhaps the premise has been used before, but it is more than a worthy viewing experience.
This movie changed its tone in a vary subtle way from begining to end. i laughed cried smiled and fell in love with this movie by the end. this is not what i expected when i started this movie. but as the movie progressed it kept surprising me. worth your time if you want to see a feel good movie witha heart. bcz this one definiely has a big heart.
This is not a comedy, so if that is what you are looking for, watch something else. If are looking for a heart warming movie, with substance, this just might be one you will enjoy. I am tired of all the special effects, in place of dialogues. This movie is a wake up to life, and its true meaning. I really enjoyed it, as you can see with the rating I gave. I can't promise you won't shed a tear or two, but it will not let you down. One line that stuck with me (paraphrase) is, just because you have known someone for a long time, doesn't make them your best friend. Truer words were never spoken. I don't know why IMDb insists on 1000 words, or 10 lines, but everything from here on in is an echo of what I have already said.
Excellent film. I wouldn't really call it a chick flick, it's far better than that. The comedy isn't persistent which I liked most, just a refreshing story about a newly wed couple trying to grasp at the loss of their friend, a funeral to take care of and cancelling their honeymoon. The characters were likable and it even threw in a little twist toward the mid-end which you may or may not have seen coming. It's heartwarming and down to earth without most of the cliché nonsense you see in most comedies, a real nice surprise.Fantastic cast. Justin Long and Jess Weixler make a great team. It was nice to see another movie with Tyler Labine, he seems like a such a fun, lovable guy and what a great actor! If you're hesitant, definitely go for it. I give it a solid 8/10.
