Really interesting movie given the times we live in.
Russell Quinn, a criminal defense counsel and his emotionally fragile wife, Abby, are anxiously awaiting childbirth; Abby has vivid, haunting dreams. Disasters begin to occur around the world; some call it "end of days." Abbey feels called upon to stop the sixth disaster but she is too late. As the final disaster looms, will Abbey have hope sufficient to save mankind? The Seventh Sign is a film that i didn't know what to expect it started very slow and for about 30 minutes or so nothing really happens but when this man David Bannon arrives things start to change she feels that something is going on with her baby and she tries to investigate and she has to stop the last sign before the End of Days. Now as far as acting goes Demi Moore did a terrific job, Michael Biehn (The Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss) also did a pretty good job although i wish his character was more in the film and Jürgen Prochnow who played David was pretty good too. Now the film does indeed have flaws for example Biehn's character needed to be more in the film, the pacing was kinda very slow and in the end Father Lucci kinda went a bit over the top but the film had some pretty good plot twists and a really good/sad ending where it showed the true meaning of faith for the time it was released The 7th Sign is actually really good it's not a horror film it does have some creepy vibe sure but it's more of a Fantasy Drama with a bit of Horror in it and it's way better than most of these so called thrillers we get today it does have this lame moments where someone touches your shoulder and you freak out but it happened one time only so i didn't mind it. It does have some small flaws but i won't down grade it it was actually a really big surprise and i would really like to recommend it to everyone to see it if you haven't already..
This is not a great movie but it's not a horrible film either. It's pretty good and it entertained me! "Abby save the world" from the apocalypses/end times is basically what the film is about. The 4 horsemen ride, the 7 seals are being broken one at a time but how does Abby fit into all of this? What does Abby have to do with the end of the world? How will Abby save the inhabitants of planet Earth from being destroyed? I do agree with others that Demi Moore gives a good performance here but her character Abby Quinn that was a little flat and needed to be "spiced up" just tiny bit without over doing it. But I do like the character! Abby's husband Russell Quinn: He does love Abby without a question and when first introduced to him he seemed snotty, rude and a but of a stinker but as the signs of the apocalypse are reviled he is the one that makes since in trying to be rational, reasonable like the 2-29 thing, as he told Abby "you don't even know if that IS a date!" -- And Avi confirmed Russell to be correct that it is not a date. So Russell becomes more likable as the movie progresses (to me) - he's right about some things and wrong about other things.Anyway, overall I really enjoyed this film.7.5/10
one word boring.the young demi looks good, but she's pregnant (- point for that =D) the movie is not scary at all...the first scenes looked little crappy, i could render better clouds with my laptop, and after effects. but that was then... and now is now. some movies do not get old well... this is one of them.not worth renting or buying... get something better instead like the exorcist, ...next =Doh the drama part in the beginning just and simply suxor =D
