....is the last line that Dr Earl Hill/Frank Langella utters in this saga. And therein lies the best way to sum up this telemovie that is catastrophic, but for all the wrong reasons.Pity he didn't pay more attention to it when he read this thing & agreed to do it!Apparently, more lines are required to make this review valid! Really? What else is there to say? Not bad enough to be "so bad, it's good". Every clichéd piece of dialogue that has ever graced a bad telemovie, gathered together & trotted out one after the other. Is that enough now??!!!

Gets a couple of points for the laugh-at-it value. It picks up a few minutes after the end of the first installment. A major earthquake has just annihilated part of southern California, clear out to Barstow, with millions of casualties. We see some guys in Vegas, only 150 miles from Barstow, who would have certainly felt such an immense quake; and witnessed news coverage of it. What are they doing? Preparing for a possible danger to Vegas? Mourning the victims of the disaster? No, they're playing poker. The father of the heroine in both movies is winning, so that must be why he's not concerned with his daughter's fate much. That's only the beginning. We see President Bo Bridges, still looking like he's suffering stomach wall spasms (like in the first movie). The scientist girl goes to discover more seismic problems are coming. Then an inconsiderate quake interrupts her dad's poker game. This opens the obligatory Poseidon Adventure rip off sequence, complete with all the disaster movie trimmings: arguing, wrecked staircases, aftershocks at just the wrong moment, panicky person gets killed, one of the rescuers is related to one of the fleeing survivors, etc. Then the scientists watch as a major fault cuts across the heartland. Good special effects here, but the story line remains ludicrous. What's right in the way of the fault? A nuke power plant, what else. And so it goes.Outrageous, but fun.

as the movie goes, it was you're tradional disaster flick,, the problem i have with these kinds of movies though is that they are too cozy,, too schmoozy, but the action is decent i must say, the plot, fairly average. the ending i really liked, beau bridges did an adequate job in his role as the Prez. Kim Delaney, i thought she did a better job in the first one,, but hey she's hot and i like her. i wouldn't go so far as to call this movie great. but then again on the other hand it is not a stinker by any means.. i don't think they should make 11.0 . i think they really should have stopped with the first one,, only because some of what they suggest could happen , is so far fetched.. others, fairly plausible.

This movie by far had the worst camera work I have ever seen. Every time someone would talk the camera rapidly would have to zoom in closely on the person's face almost to their nostrils to emphasize rising action or suspense. The camera work finally got so annoying I had to turn the movie off and watch something else. As for the special effects in this movie, I can understand the fact that they didn't have millions to spend on blowing stuff up, so the little HO scale model of the Golden Gate Bridge made it's point, but was almost laughable to see a movie made in the past few years still use the 1940's style special effects. In my opinion this movie could have been much better had it not been for the annoying camera work, and over acting played by the actors/actresses. In the scene of where the Ford Explorer gets swallowed up by the loose ground, the effects were so phony and "superman-ish" they should have just super imposed Lois Lane's head for the little girl's and just cropped out that scene of Superman and placed it in this 10.5 piece of crap.
