Neil, Will and Simon receive an invite from Jay to join him in Australia whilst on his gap year, who promises them it’s ”the sex capital of the world”. With their lives now rather dull compared to their hedonistic school days and legendary lads holiday, it’s an offer they can’t refuse. Once again, they put growing up temporarily on-hold, and embark on a backpacking holiday of a lifetime in an awful car, inspired by Peter Andre’s ‘Mysterious Girl’. Will soon finds himself battling with the lads to do something cultural, whilst they focus their attention on drinking, girls, and annoying fellow travelers.

The biggest issue is just the narrative! Example, Will bumps into a girl by accident within a few hours of travelling round the world and it was s girl he went to school with?! Jays dads brother is Australian?!? Jay doesn't seem surprised to see his 3 mates from the otherside of the world?! Has the feel of a first draftDialogue is quite funny, the only positive

If you liked Inbetweeners on TV or in the first film adaptation then you'll greatly enjoy the second go around. The story picks up with the boys at uni dealing with hazing and usually troublesome scenarios with various women so the boys decide to go on another holiday but this time in Australia where Jay has been living. Jay messages the boys about how great down under is and how many birds he's hooking up with. This gives Will, Si, and Neil the idea to get away and visit Jay in Australia. Hilarity ensures with the boys getting in various, crude, vulgar, and humorous situations along way once again! I actually thought Inbetweeners 2 was better than the first one, in my opinion there were funnier jokes and situations like Jay punching the koalas or Will with the poo on his face. Those scenes made me laugher harder than any part of the first movie or the series for that matter!

I have never watched the TV series but watched the first movie which was better than OK, so we watched this the other night and although not hating it, found it pretty weak. It is not really a film but a series of set plays, sketches, linked together by a really flimsy plot, story line. It comes across as trying way to hard and tries to be the Young Ones without much of the wit, humour and style. One or two funny moments, I believe one of the actors has given up on the franchise, wise choice. I am not going into the story line as there is no point it is really immaterial and just passes time until the next sketch is reached.

This film resulted in a manifestation of what I like to call 'a lot of laughing', hence achieved it's raison d'être. Don't eat while watching, you may choke. It has not tried to change the winning formula form the series or the first film yet in my opinion was as enjoyable as any episode if not more so. I hope that long may it continue and look forward to 'Coach Trip: Scotland' or 'Ocean Cruise' when the lads reach their octogenarian era. Having lately seen Neighbors (yes spelt incorrectly), 22 Jump Street and numerous other American comedies I can safely say this has trounced them all without trying too hard. If you haven't already you can stop reading now as these lines are for the requisite 10 line review for IMDb, just buy, rent or go to the cinema and see this film and enjoy.
