Trust me it is not bad as people are saying. i assume they just watch the horror movies for scary scenes and not the story. I can tell that some of them didn't even watch the previous parts. The story focuses on Elise, her ghost hunter friends and her past. It shows all the emotions that how she suffered in the past because of her ability and how she overcame her traumas. She stood up to help people who are going through these haunting experiences. I wanted to see more but i think we won't get more parts because of the last scene. In the end i recommend you to watch this movie only if you have watched the previous parts.

The first two movies of this series were great. The third was good but not as much as the previous two. This one failed to live up to the expectations. It's kind of sad because it started so well but the ending was bad and seemed too easy. This one had less intensity and focused more on jump scares. Some were good but others were cheap. The references to the first film were worthless. And the trailer was filled with deleted scenes. That was disappointing. Overall i'd say this movie was 50/50 good and bad. I'll give it 4 stars instead of 5 though because the ending was bad. In the previous films, the last 20 minutes or so are full of intensity and anticipation leading to good scares. The last 20 minutes of this movie were just weird and felt rushed.

I've watched the other Insidious films, was looking forward to this but was really disappointed really. Felt like there wasn't much to the story, felt like there should have been more, hen there were certain parts that didn't get explained properly I though. I rented this film off my tv, I had to wait until it was realised to DVd though which was cheaper than seeing it in the cinema. I'm glad I only paid £3.45 to watch this.. surely there's got to be some good horror films out there.

Psychic evil spirit hunter Elise and her two Scooby sidekicks embark on a problematic case in the house where Elise grew up.Lin Shaye plays the dauntless demon investigator once more, accompanied by her two comic relief stooges, in a family history-based tale which succeeds in the way it is meant to. It is entertainingly scripted, has decent performances, a selection of made-you-jump moments, and some turns in the story which are unexpected. It is creepy, but not hugely scary. And I know that creeping carefully around darkened houses is par for the course for this type of film, but for once I wish they would creep around in the light, and creep a bit quicker, please. Also the main baddie here - someone called Keyface - doesn't convince visually, and has no obvious motivation or explanation for his modus operandi. A bit of explanation would have been welcome. And I guessed the deus ex machina moment very early on, as soon as - well, you'll know it when you see it.It's slick and moderately glossy, and entertaining enough. It is adequate.
