I thought that she shouldn't choose the one who looks like her (in past, marks, circumstances.. etc) because this may be a mutual narcissism. You're just looking for the one who is relatively differing from you, having whatever attracts you (so the positive attracts the negative in physics). In brief we fall in love – forever this time ! – with whoever completes us, and maybe all of that applies to the character of the intellectual very patient first date regarding that he tolerated (Lucy) in her worst states ever, didn't take advantage of her, and above all he has virtues she doesn't have as he learns from her too ! The script avoided him as the winner of Lucy's heart whether because she didn't fall in love with him or to make sure that this is one character that turned into a better person because of her, unlike her relationships with all the rest of the men/dates whence she was the one who was influenced by them. The movie itself was super fun as a great new plot, or as an engaging performance from everybody especially from (Monica Potter) who's so lovely and sensitive. Strange that a lot of people say that she is the young copy of (Julia Roberts) or that she is doing the kind of roles that (Meg Ryan) done !! Well, they're all mistaken and all of their so-called reviews is just pure crap ! She is on her own, like no other but unfortunately having the bad luck all over her career which I think that it had TV works and independent movies more than any Hollywood flicks.Anyway, although I believe that there is no rules in Love but I've always thought that this lead didn't make the right choice, like she selected herself but in a manly copy ! And believe me on the long run that's not a good thing to do. Certainly, I "wasn't" with Lucy in this !P.S: if you're thinking like me that (Lucy) made the wrong choice. Please E-mail me.

I saw this movie a couple of years ago and liked it immediately. Its funny, sad, sweet and has a terrific ending. The cast is very likable, with a lot of familiar faces you will recognize. I really like the lead actress. She is one of my new favorite actresses. Monica Potter is a blond Julia Roberts. She even sounds like her. But Gael Garcia Bernal is definitely the reason I rewatched it! He's is so scrumptious to look at and I thought he was very good in the movie. It is good all the way through and I would definitely recommend it. In fact, I would like to see it again. I will probably buy it for my own collection.

I bought this DVD because I am a huge fan of David Boreanaz and found it quite entertaining and a pleasant surprise. Monica Potter is a good actress but I didn't feel she was powerful enough for this film. The male actors were all very good and the idea behind the film was good but it lacked cohesion. David was, as always, excellent but as with the other actors, their potential characters were not explored enough. However it was a pleasant light-hearted little film which did not discredit any of the actors. However, unfortunately this is a film which will be seen by a limited audience. I think it would be a good made-for-TV movie rather than the cinema. As a David Boreanaz fan I would prefer him to have meatier roles than these pretty-boy roles he seems to have been offered. The man is an accomplished actor who can do action, romantic and tragic roles and I'd like to see him in more productive parts. Anthony LaPaglia as always was a joy to watch.

I think this film deserves a lot more attention than it actually gets - it is as enjoyable as "Notting Hill". If you like romantic comedies you should not miss this one. John Hannah and Henry Thomas are very well casted and fit perfect into their roles. Very funny film and a nice story - 8/10.
