There's everything you always never loved for, will wither into air once you watch this film where love will rekindle within your heart and your heart will know what love is all about. And with that, i think i don't have words to explain about this film that encaptures you and encapsulates you from its first scene and decides to invigorate you and your feelings till the time the film is going on. And that's where this french film shines not just because it is written craft-fully that we are invested emotionally but also performed delicately and delicately by the actors esp., Emmanuelle Béart, Daniel Auteuil, André Dussollier, Elizabeth Bourgine that makes us know with what vibes it went in and came out. Story, i think i should not tell since synopsis, is given but what i want to say at last, is that once you are entering the film and its story, don't leave it thinking, it to be melodramatic instead see the magic music, emotions and reactions play when they all come together with that sense of making your memories of how you'll feel great about this film.

Beautiful violin virtuoso Camille has two obsessions: the music of Ravel, and a friend of her husband's who crafts violins. But his heart seems to be as cold as her playing is passionate. The film contains only excerpts of Ravel compositions, but the soundtrack album includes them in their entirety, performed by Jean-Jacques Kantorow (violin), Philippe Muller (cello) and Jacques Rouvier (piano). A fourth Ravel composition not excerpted in the film, "Berceuse sur le nom de Gabriel Faure", is on the soundtrack album. The film helped further popularize especially Ravel's Piano Trio.Say what you will about this film. Good or bad, it really does a great job presenting the music. Did the actors play the instruments? Probably not. But the use of Ravel is ell executed, and no matter what else, that makes this a good movie.

Emmanuelle Beart shines as a classical violinist in France and she begins a relationship with the owner of a instrument repair shop. Shortly thereafter, the owners partner also becomes involved with her. The two men have radically different personalities, one is extremely introverted and the other extroverted.Of course, Beart believes she can change them and they continue a love triangle. The soundtrack is beautiful, making use of Ravel's compositions. This theme has been done many times but Beart's captivating screen presence makes this one time well spent.

I have to say that I love Daniel Auteuil. I think he was one of the world's finest French film actors. Anyway, he plays a man who falls in love with a woman. Odd isn't? he plays a violin maker or repair guy. French films tend to do a lot on relationships between men and women. In this film, Daniel is after Emmanuelle Beart's character. It doesn't really matter because we know where this film is heading. Unlike American films on relationships, the French films do tend to take their time in exploring and not exploiting the women and men like meat. This film is a great example of how good acting, solid directing, and decent writing can allow the audience to understand the characters with greater depth including their flaws and attributes. It's a pity that American film directors don't reply in the same way to the audiences to day. French films would be far more popular among single American women if we had more access to it at the local cinema.
