Radio talk show therapist Sonny Blake moves back to her childhood home on seemingly idyllic Rosewood Lane after her alcoholic father dies. But upon arrival in the old neighborhood, Sonny discovers her neighbors are terrified of the local paperboy. She thinks this is ridiculous, until she encounters the boy himself. It turns out that he is a cunning and dangerous sociopath, one who may have gruesomely killed her father - and others.

Don't tip the paperboy. Directed by Victor Silva, ROSEWOOD LANE is creepy and old fashioned fright. Radio talk show psychiatrist Sonny Blake(Rose McGowan)moves back into her childhood home after her alcoholic father dies. The neighborhood leaves a bit to be desired, and it becomes obvious the paperboy(Daniel Ross Owens) may not be playing with a full deck. The doc's boyfriend is a District Attorney, Barrett Tanner(Sonny Marinelli), and after helping her move, she confides that she was traumatized by her father's brutality during her childhood. She even has ideas that the weird paperboy had something to do with her father's death and on top of that, she thinks he is stalking her and even calling her radio show. Does bizarre behavior actually translate into evil? Others in the cast: Leslie-Anne Down, Ray Wise, Bill Fagerbakke, Ashton Moio, Lin Shave and Rance Howard.

In case those looking to check this movie out didn't notice, it's directed and written by the same guy that did the Jeepers Creepers films. Going into it with this knowledge in mind and happening to enjoy the Jeepers Creepers series I can honestly say I did enjoy this film. I also believe it deserves more than 1, 2 or 3 stars. However if you don't like the Jeepers Creepers films you probably will really hate this one because it has less of a scary feel and is minus the terrifying creeper (replaced with a boy that is just not scary). The part I liked was that it keeps you guessing like the Creeper films but the ending was unsatisfying to me as well. I wanted a Sci-Fi experience and that aspect just wasn't there like in the Creeper films. Overall this film was better than a lot of other low budget films I've seen.

Nothing much comes together in this sloppy and somewhat confusing entry in the "suburbs are not all that safe" Genre. If we didn't know by now, it is a place with hidden horrors and beneath the clean exteriors lie dirty, and scary secrets. What secrets reside here, are hardly explored, explained, or for that matter, halfway through this thing you won't care. It is a mishandled, muddled attempt that cannot be forgiven its lame premise and truly awful Script and Direction. The Movie is disjointed and rarely remotely scary with a dull sense of disbelief. Characters behave in such a way that even Horror Movie conventions are stretched to a point of Audience forgiveness. Everything is telegraphed, draining what little suspense is concocted and it results in a clunky, clever-less Film that can be a chore to get through. Making it to the end of this dud might be considered an achievement, but that accomplishment will soon dissipate because the End does not justify the Means. It is as flat and uninspired as the rest.

This movie was completely a waste of my time. The story line gets you no where and doesn't make sense at all. There is no back story to the villain you never find out if the freaking Paper Boy is a real person or some kind of demonic force or triplets or all of the above and you never find out what the F-word his purpose was or who he was. I should expect this from the same douche bag who made those horrible jeepers creepers movies. Also you never find out in the end if her freaking husband is dead or alive. More about this paper boy, number one the paper boy doesn't look like a boy or minor at all. I feel like this movie was horribly thought out with excellent actors. I think everyone watching this movie lost at least 20 point off there IQ. May God have mercy on the souls of these bastards who made this film.
