The third in the Golmaal series, this one is a farcical comedy without much of a story. Inspired by the television serial, Family No. 1, and the film, Khatta Meetha (old), it is more of an assemblage of funny sequences pieced together in a screenplay by writer Yunus Sajawal. As the story line is thin and not even new or fresh, the emphasis is more on creating laughter in individual scenes. While the attempt is successful upto a point, the monotony in the drama and the lack of an engrossing story hit the audience, especially after interval. No doubt, some scenes in the first half and a few after interval are absolutely hilarious and bring the house down with laughter, but then, there are also scenes which are designed to evoke laughter and fail. Writer Yunus Sajawal's biggest flaw is the addition of the emotional track in the story. That's because while the emotions fail to touch the heart and activate the tear ducts, the track robs the film of the comedy which has, actually, come to become the mainstay of the Golmaal films. So, while the emotional aspect fails to have the desired impact, it does rob the film of its USP – comedy!

But no one's complaining. Because Ajay Devgn's angry explosions, Tusshar Kapoor's verbal antics, Arshad Warsi's rougish revelry, Sanjay Mishra's delightful mis-spellings...are all rib-tickling stuff. And providing a perfect backdrop to this brazen display of testosterone and brattish tomfoolery are the senior citizens: Mithun and Ratna Pathak Shah who play the romantic couple in '70s style. Mithun literally recreates his Disco Dancer chutzpah by romancing an Alice-band sporting Ratna Pathak Shah with his signature dance steps. But the one who's obviously having the greatest fun amongst the band of boys is Kareena Kapoor as Dabboo, the orphan who is hell bent on creating the Hum Saath Saath Hain happy family out of the warring factions. Kareena's vibrant, vivacious and ekdum bindaas, almost in sync with the outrageous palette of colours that Rohit Shetty uses for the sets and costumes of his film. You can't be sad, mournful or morose after the colour blast -- red, yellow, orange, pink, purple -- that hits you in this over-the-top film

Movie Golmaal 3 was a Bollywood action comedy film which directed by Rohit Shetty and the sequel to the 2008 film Golmaal Returns and the third film in the Golmaal series. Most of people enjoyed this movie's comedy. But i felt this was not pure genuine movie according to ethic values. The film stars most of the actors from the previous films, including Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade. Starting part of the movie was just new for me. New additions to the cast include actors Mithun Chakraborty and Kunal. Moreover The emotional scenes of this movie was wonderful. Songs were just amazing according to the story. Theme of the movie was average.

Rohit Shetty started off with ZAMEEN(2003)which was an okay film with done to death terrorism but quite a watchable fare In this film his forte action(he is son of Shetty action director of old films) was well utilised, The film had several stunts in slow motion, with special effects After this film he shifted to comedy with GOLMAAL(2006) which was quite funny after it's success he kept on making comedies with action scenes forced in, especially cars flying. Golmaal Returns was horrendous, ALL THE BEST(2009) was a bit better but yet the same type comedy and a farce in a name of homage to Hrishikesh Mukherjee films(he might be turning around in his grave) Golmaal 3(2010) pays homage to age-old KHATTA MEETHA(1978) throw in some twists like Johny Lever playing a forgetful Ghajini inspired thief, with 2 sidekicks Vrajesh Hirjee(who is common in RS's films) and Sanjay Mishra(in most RS's films after Zameen) The film tries tooooooooooooooooooo hard to make you laugh but the film keeps you on the tenterhooks throughout to run away from the screen. Surprising the film worked at the Box Office, it has no comedy, no entertainment and the jokes are so overdone there make Govinda's worst comedies seem masterpieces. The only funny parts are the flashback of Mithun and Ratna treated in tongue in cheek old bollywood styleDirection by Rohit Shetty is horrible, He seems to believe that comedy i s like COMEDY CIRCUS TV series where people make faces, make loud noises.etc Music by Pritam is decent, all songs are nice Camera-work is fab, with nice glowing colorsAjay Devgn and comedy never combined well, He looked out of place in David Dhawan's HUM KISISE KUM NAHIN and mostly overacted in his earlier films, even in GOLMAAL he stood out like a sore thumb though he tried very hard and did a good job in a few scenes but mostly didn't blend well, nowdays he seemed to be doing more comedies because it is a hit formula(rather was) In this film with his thin hair, rugged look, physique(did he shoot this and Singham together) he frowns more and though it works with the AYM character he doesn't raise laughs naturally Kareena Kapoor after embarrassing us in Golmaal Returns seems better this time, she has a fun playing her character Tusshar is much intolerable here compared to Golmaal he overacts Shreyas Talpade and Kunal khemmu both talented actors have some funny moments but it's doesn't equale to their talents. Arshad Warsi after IShQIYA seems wasted and looks bored Johny Lever needs the trophy of worst comedy act, he is simply stupid in his non funny role Vrajesh Hirjee and Sanjay Mishra both regulars with RS are okay Mithun thankfully doesn't overact and does well Ratna Patak Shah is good too Prem Chopra is funny in his cameo Ashwini and Mukesh Tiwari need to stop doing such films
