Gangster is the greatest movie of bollywood, both by songs and story. It is heavily underrated. It ties with 3 idiots for the greatest movie ever in bollywood. This movie is the perfect example of how suspense movie should be, because it keeps you guessing about the climax, but even an intelligent man would fail to guess what was in store for him. This movie should have been sent to the Oscars for the best movie in a foreign language category. From first to last you will not be bored for even a single second. This movie is the combination of Gangster movies, Love stories and Suspense thrillers. A must watch movie. Perfect direction, Great story and Evergreen Songs. Everything is present in this movie. This is a must watch movie, once in a lifetime.

I had always been amused by the fact that a whole lot of Indian movies, focusing on organized crimes, aims apparently at a soft side of a cold-blooded killer for women and romance. I am not sure why Shankar must be a Hero or even an anti-hero, just because he loves the lead woman dearly? This needs sorting from the fraternity of directors. And all the terrorists and mafia-men shown are very good-looking menfolk invariably? Is there any specific reason?PS. Why is the poster lacking (Shankar) Ahuja and showing Grover? The story is a predictable one as far as Shankar is concerned. The twist came with the introduction of Akash, more so, of his profession. The greater twist was he was not in love with the lead woman as is usually typecast in many other movies. For a 17-something, Ranaut was a pro! Ahuja had some intense scenes to play but Emraan being Emraan, had to play out the scenes of intimacy. One has to wait and watch Ahuja for further performances.

No wonder it's an 18:this is a violent movie. It has a really good twist in the second half of the movie. What the weird thing was everyone ended up dead. I mean the criminal don died, the gangster died the girl commits suicide Akash dies. Also when Simran goes to Akash's house he gets shot in the shoulder then shot three times in the back and still lives to shoot Simran before he died. He should have died straight away after the first shot in the back. The spinal thing connected to the brain gets damaged so he should have died. It was a good movie, more than enough violence and a great twist in the middle. Great movie-9/10
