This documentary really only scratches the surface of the iceberg that is the Mormon Church. Its main purpose is to show a collection of members of the church and how they're good, normal people. The film's purpose seems to be that of showing its audience, "See? Mormons are just normal, average Christians." In that purpose, the film succeeds. The movie steers clear of most of the Church's doctrine, its historical controversy, and such. Probably important to most people, it doesn't depict the most typical Mormon family: white, nuclear family that was born in the church and raised the family in the church. It does a fair job in exploring some Mormons, how their religion affects how they view others or they view their Christian duty. There are some very tender and profound moments. It's on Youtube on the Mormon Channel, so if you're curious, give it a watch.

I think this is a nice film and educational for those of us who aren't Mormons in some ways, but honestly it portrays the aspects of Mormonism that sound similar to evangelical Christianity, when the reality is that Mormonism bears little to no actual resemblance to evangelical Christianity and the gospel of grace. Also, it seems to emphasize he stories of non-White mormons, which is cool to see, but the reality of the Mormon church is that it is and has been racist for all of its existence - so these individuals are not an accurate representation of a predominantly white and somewhat racist "church." I wish someone would make a documentary that better documented their religion and I think it would be important to see what the inside of the temple is like and also what the culture and experiences are of those in Utah. There is a desperate need for grace and unshacklement for the Mormon people. They really aren't living by the Bible. If you disagree with me, go read the New Testament like a child, with fresh eyes. Go read Unveiling Grace by Lynn Wilder. These both will challenge anything you think about Mormonism. And if you are a Christian, join me in praying that Mormons will find actual truth. Please.

During the movie the viewers are exposed to the day-to-day life of these individuals and how they balance family church and other activities. These six individuals carry six very different and interesting lives. This documentary is not necessarily trying to make everyone who watches it become a Mormon, someone who is not religious could watch this film and end it wanting to be a better person. Though the cast does not have any well-known actors/actresses they are still able to present their lives in an appropriately respectable manner. In the beginning, we are shown Jenna Jones interviewing random people on the street. Many associate Mormons as white people who live in Utah. Though by the end of the movie we are shown six many different lives and their genuine responses to the questions asked about being a Mormon. Every story affected the viewer emotionally in a different way. One thing I took away from this documentary was that everyone is a human, no matter what race, religion, and nationality we are all the children of God, as Mormons would put it. We're all yearning for the same thing, we all want to be happy and live in peace. I really enjoyed this movie because it shows many different sides of this religion and its people. It also destroys stereotypes surrounding being a Mormon.

When I first saw the preview I was really excited and I was the one who got my family interested. When I got to the theater I couldn't wait for it to start. At first, after it had started, I thought it would be very boring. As it went on I realized that it was one of the best movies I had ever seen. I have told a lot of people at school and the seemed interested. Now I would really recommend this to every person in the world. There are 6 families that all share very interesting stories that are also heartfelt. My brother thought that the movie was very interesting. He loves hearing each families story and learning something new about the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I want to thank the church for making this movie appear across the country. Thank you cast members!!!!
