Deborah's thoughts of pursuing a relationship with Veg are dashed when she learns that he has a famous girlfriend, Mindy (she is television's "Eat Drink Warrior"). This is a difficult move for me to write about because I don't quite understand all of the nuances that may have been in this film due to the language and cultural differences involved. In essence, a young Chinese man named "Tung-Choi" (Tony Leung Chiu Wai) is driving his sick mother and sister to the hospital. At the same time a young woman named "Deborah" (Sammi Cheng) is also driving in that same direction. As luck would have it, she accidentally sideswipes Tung-Choi's car which causes an altercation between the two. One thing leads to another but eventually they end up spending the night together. This poses an additional problem because Tung-Choi has a celebrity girlfriend named "Mindy" (Niki Chow) who had been taking him for granted until things began to heat up between him and Deborah. Throw in a very strange family relationship with Tung-Choi's relatives and things begin to get strange and comical very quickly. Anyway, I especially enjoyed the performance of Tony Leung Chiu Wai who seemed scared to make a decision along with the nice performances of both Sammi Cheng and Niki Chow. Both of them were very pretty as well. In short, this was a cute little film and I recommend it to those who enjoy romantic comedies.

it's a very shallow plot (even for a romantic-comedy). it's too simple and too fast. fortunately, the chemistry between Sammi and Tony works and this movie is actually watchable. and their characters have their unique charm despite their flaws. i'm kind of undecided on whether Tony's dysfunctional family acts as a distraction or a good comedic device.very down-to-earth and simple movie, which in itself is not bad. worth watching once if you're a fan of either leads.

Tony Leung and Sammi Cheng. One is a brilliant actor and one is a wonderful singer. It's hard to believe that this is their 1st collaboration. But guess what? They did a fabulous job, portraying their characters. Tony's Tong Choi is sweet, caring and funny. Sammi's Siu Tong is tomboyish but I liked her. One of the emotional scenes was when he called her on the cell phone and for a couple minutes, no one said anything...hehe...that's all I'm telling you people. You really have to watch this!!!

It seems like Sammi has been in every movie that's come out this year. Unlike Love on a Diet, this movie uses no special effects, just a good story. The story is about Sammi and Tony (Leung Chiu Wai) who have a car accident. After settling the dispute, both get drunk and have a one night stand. Soon after, Sammi loses her job, her savings, and her dad's dog! She moves in with Tony but the only problem is that Tony already has a girlfriend! Anybody who has seen romantic comedies can guess what happens next. I thought this was a sweet romantic comedy. Sammi, again does a wonderful job and is very natural on the screen. Although Tony is looking a little older these days, he is still a good actor and creates nice chemistry with Sammi.
