The Gang of the Jotas (2013)
The Gang of the Jotas is a wacky take on the famous suitcase mixup at the airport. Nils and Didier are arriving to the South of Spain to play in a badminton tournament. A mysterious and manipulative woman is also coming in to set things straight with the Spanish mafia. When they meet to exchange suitcases, all three of their lives are going to be turned upside down. Although Nils and Didier would never dream of becoming her sidekicks, they agree to tag along. Against all odds, they are going to become first class hitmen ... or maybe not.

It was a lot of fun to see director Marjane Satrapi play the lead in her own film 'La bande des jotas'. She has charisma to spare, and her dialogs are offbeat and funny, as were the many confrontations with the duo she teams up with. Visually, it is very much worthwhile as well, and there are some utterly weird bits here and there.The weirdest part happened at the very end, of which I still don't understand one iota. And it seems there is no decent (with English or Dutch subs) DVD-release of this film anywhere, so I'll just keep my fingers crossed and hope there will be one someday (I just had the luck of finding this via TV5 Monde). Maybe then, I'll be able to figure it all out...?In the meantime, I'm not at all bothered by not understanding what it all exactly means, because it is very entertaining on its own - accept the mystery!A good 8 out of 10.
