Sweet Life
A Turkish remake of "The Jeffersons". With Ihsan Yildirim's cleaning business booming, he insisted his family leave the "plain folks" and move up to Etiler with the "fancy folks." It is Ihsan's hope that relocation and his newly acquired wealth will mean the end of his problems in general and his troubles with neighbors in specific. But life in a luxurious high rise holds some unexpected pitfalls for the Yildirims, including Basar's struggle to convince his father that his marriage into a Turkish-Greek mixed family is cause for celebration, not disappointment. According to Harun Farocki, today's photographers working in advertising are, in a way, continuing the tradition of 17th century Flemish painters in that they depict objects from everyday life - the "still life". The filmmaker illustrates this intriguing hypothesis with three documentary sequences which show the photographers at work creating a contemporary "still life": a cheese-board, beer glasses and an expensive watch.

Adaptation of Chekhov's "Uncle Vanya" set in rural Australia in the 1920s. Jack Dickens and his niece Sally run the family farm to support brother-in-law Alexander as a (supposedly brilliant) literary critic in London. Action begins when Alexander returns with his beautiful young wife Deborah, revealing himself as an arrogant failure and wanting to sell the farm out from under Jack. Blakemore introduces themes about Australia's separation from England, as well as expanding the pacifist and ecological philosophies espoused by the local Doctor Max Askey.

His harassers die in an automobile accident, and the bodies are taken to his uncle's mortuary. Archie is pulling a late night at the mortuary when he sees a storm brewing. Lighting strikes! They're alive! The preppie bullies continue to torment him...as zombies!
