Late summer on the Brittany coast. Oscar invites a group of friends to spend a week's vacation at his grandparents' house. He hasn't been back to his childhood home since he came out as a trans boy. Actors Bernard David Jones, Dyllon Burnside, Thomas Hobson, and Jenifer Lewis bring to life the words of Black non-binary author George Matthew Johnson’s transparent and sparkling memoir, aided by director Nathan Hale Williams’ visual poetry. Tackling issues of Black masculinity and Black queerness in relationship to Blackness, each character represents Johnson at different stages of their life, chronicling their story of growing up and challenging gender identity norms, as well as learning to adapt to HIV/AIDS.

The Boys Next Door is a short documentary in which director Bobbie Fay Brandsen examines how she should live together with her new neighbors, Mootie from Syria, Meron from Eritrea and Salihou from Senegal. Toshiyuki Tanishi (Ryuhei Maruyama) is 27-year-old single guy, who has never had a girlfriend in his whole life. He works for small toy company, Saida Company. People view Toshiyuki Tanishi as stupid and the last person who will achieve success. Meanwhile, Toshiyuki has feelings for co-worker Chiharu (Akina Minami), but is unable to approach Chiharu. Instead, Toshiyuki goes to telephone clubs or watch adult videos.
One day, Toshiyuki gets along with the salesman Aoyama (Takumi Saito), from rival company Manmos. With Aoyama's suggestion, Toshiyuki is finally able to have dinner with Chiharu. After dinner, Toshiyuki and Chiharu miss the last train and go to a hotel.
