I am Betty, the Ugly one (1999)

Betty arrives at Ecomoda to interview for the position of presidential secretary with a brilliant resume, but finds that there is a candidate with more choice than her.

Armando decides to hire Patricia and Betty as secretaries to the presidency and although Betty is given the storeroom as an office, Armando gives Betty the most important functions and Patricia the public relations except for his personal agenda, which infuriates Marcela.

During Betty's first parade for buyers, she messes up while trying to help Armando when she delivers a color chart requested by him, Betty crosses in the middle of the parade and falls off the stage.

Armando reiterates to Betty that the personal agenda cannot be given to anyone. Marcela arrives at the office to complain about having left Patricia out of his personal affairs, while they discuss fidelity, Karina Larson, one of the models with whom he had a relationship, arrives. Betty tries to get her out of the company.

Betty tries to hide Karina's presence in Ecomoda, she makes Armando take her away, but Patricia has seen her and goes and tells Marcela about it, they try to take the agenda away from Betty while Armando has left, taking Karina with him.

Marcela asks Betty to give the position to Patricia, especially the agenda. Armando arrives and tears up the letter and fights with Marcela, thanks Betty for what she did and informs her that he no longer needs a probationary period because in one of those days the probationary period is over. Mario tries to convince Armando not to get married, he makes a computer program to find the ideal woman.

Marcela gives Armando a trial of his womanizing past and ends up seducing him, forgiving him and promising not to intervene in his business affairs. Román calls Betty to confirm the invitation to go out. After a decision with her father, she gets his permission. Betty waits to be picked up even though more than an hour has passed.

Betty cries disconsolately because she has been made again, she has been left in. Nicolás angrily complains to Román, who hits him with his fist. Hermes, Betty's father, arrives to complain to Betty about Román's move, and they end up punching him.

Betty prepares a secret job to surprise Armando and stand out at the meeting, Patricia overhears this conversation where Betty says this to her mother. Patricia plots something. Armando sits down with Betty to file the agenda.

Betty confronts Román and humiliates him. Patricia, helped by Marcela, asks Betty for the reports and Patricia delivers them as if they were hers, for which she is congratulated. Armando and Marcela doubt the need to have Betty if Patricia is capable of having such an efficient job, the Cartel invite Betty to lunch and tell her the gossip of the company.

The Ugly Cartel tells Betty the history of Ecomoda, its characters with the family gossip and the rivalries of Armando and Daniel. Daniel asks the board to review Armando's proposal because he considers it impossible to fulfill.

At the end of the meeting, they congratulate Patricia for the report, Betty confronts her, but Marcela intervenes and convinces Betty not to tell Armando that the report was hers. Ecomoda employees serenade Roberto as a farewell.

Armando asks Betty and Patricia to help him draw up the business plan but Betty very cleverly tells him that since Patricia did the report, she should do the project. Patricia angrily accepts and asks Mario to help her. Betty in turn asks Nicolás to help her to do the report.

Betty and Nicolás work on the project all night. Mario and Patricia prepare dinner and talk about love, when Patricia tries to put him to work Mario seduces her and they wake up in bed.

Betty spends all night doing Armando's work, but finds Armando furious that she is late. Patricia and Mario arrive late and without work. Betty doesn't get a chance to deliver the job to Armando. Hermes arrives at Ecomoda to talk to Armando.

Betty, very frightened, tries to stop Hermes from fighting with Armando; meanwhile, Armando, furious, admits to Marcela that Betty is no good to him and that he is going to fire her. Armando fires Betty without giving her a chance to deliver the work she did for him.

When Betty says goodbye, she gives him the report and he is surprised and fascinated, hugs Betty and sits down with Mario to review it. Patricia tells Marcela about the wonderful night she spent with Mario and the possibilities she has of getting married.

Marcela and Patricia are very frustrated to learn that Betty was not fired, but that she made the business plan that Armando and Mario are very happy with. Mario tries to evade Patricia.

Daniel warns Olarte that from now on he has to watch out for Betty and any moves she makes.

Betty is convinced that the love of her life is Armando after Mariana reads her the cards. Armando announces to everyone that Betty is going to be in charge of the financial part, over Olarte. Patricia seeks an alliance with Olarte to fight Betty.

Patricia, to make Mario jealous, makes Marcela arrange a date with her brother Daniel Valencia, which ends up being a failure, because of Daniel's contempt for her. Aura María invites Betty to go out with some friends.

Betty goes out with Aura María and her friends to a discotheque, where both Betty and Aura María's friend are bored, as the guy is disappointed that Betty is not the woman he expected. Betty is terrified of Aura María's behavior with her friend.

Betty lies to her parents. Julia, her mother, is happy, convinced that Betty has met someone. Armando delegates to Betty the management of relations with the Bank, overruling Olarte.

Armando thanks Betty for everything she has done for him, and she takes it as a declaration of love. There is a time passage of a few months. Betty interrupts a racetrack at the club to get Armando to sign a promissory note for the disbursement of a loan. Marcela is shocked to see that Armando does not scold her but rather congratulates her for doing what she did.

Despite Marcela's fury, Armando asks Betty to stay and join them for lunch with the executives of RAG-TELA, a textile company, and again Betty saves the business. Armando appoints her as Assistant to the President. Betty cries with emotion.

Betty tells her friends that Armando appointed her as assistant to the president and they go to celebrate in the bathroom, but they are interrupted by Patricia who attacks them; they defend themselves and Patricia tells Marcela. Marcela enters to tell Armando what happened.

Marcela calls a meeting of the Cartel and Gutiérrez, the chief of staff, to inform them that they will be reprimanded and their salaries docked for aggression. Armando, who has heard Betty's version, interrupts the meeting and accuses Patricia, as well as announces Betty's appointment as assistant to the president. Betty alarms Armando with the report.

Armando, in view of the situation and Betty's diagnosis of the goals outlined in Armando's project, Armando asks Betty to refine the data to be presented at the meeting. Daniel shows up at Ecomoda and asks Olarte to try to get the report before the meeting.

Mario seduces Patricia and convinces her to go away with him that night. Armando arrives an hour late at the house where his parents have just arrived from London; Marcela does not speak to him. Betty works on the report with Nicolás and tells her parents that they are going to raise her salary. Olarte goes into Betty's office and turns on the computer.

Olarte cannot get into Betty's computer. Betty and Nicolás work all night on the report. Olarte and Patricia plan to distract Betty so that she cannot finish the work for the meeting.

Patricia manages to block Betty's computer. Armando tells the board that they have to wait for the computer to be fixed. The technician asks Betty for the password to get the information.

The technician accuses Betty in front of the board of having damaged the computer; she gives the technician the keys to get the information out. Betty's friends help her, and Aura María calls a computer specialist friend and tells Betty that the damage can be fixed in an hour.

Betty tells Armando that the computer problem has a quick solution, he confronts the technician who promises to deliver it in 15 minutes, the Ugly Cartel watches him. Finally, Armando announces that the report is ready and there is no need to postpone the meeting.

Betty presents the report in front of the board, while the Cartel distracts the technician and they find the report of the files he is taking from Olarte.

The Ugly Cartel gives Betty the copies of the files hidden by the technician and she in turn gives them to Armando. Armando interrogates her and confesses what happened, but only names Olarte as the only guilty party, saving Patricia. Armando interrogates Olarte.

Armando removes Olarte from Ecomoda but he does not give Daniel or Patricia away. Armando gathers the family, informs them of the dismissals and the causes and reconfirms Betty. The Ugly Cartel suspects Patricia, as do Armando and Mario.

Betty insists that in order to meet Armando's goals, the cost of quality fabrics must be greatly reduced. Sofía makes a fuss to her husband by not bringing him the money in full. Armando asks Betty to go with him to do the fabric business at night.

The Ugly Cartel dresses and makes up Betty who is going to accompany Armando to a cocktail party for a business deal and fabric contract. Daniel summons Patricia to his apartment and asks her to spy on Betty and Armando's movements in exchange for her silence.

While Betty reviews the contract with RAG-TELA, Armando flirts with a former queen who is at the cocktail party.

Armando has to interrupt his flirtation with Claudia, when a call from Marcela comes in. Armando picks Betty up on the street and takes her home and again asks her to always stay by his side and to trust him.

Hermes is told that the company where he works is going bankrupt and they are going to lay off all the employees. Miguel calls Betty to reconfirm the appointment. Armando goes with Betty to the banks to register the firm.

Betty asks Armando for a job for Nicolás. Armando tells Hugo and Marcela that, when he leaves on his trip, Betty will remain in charge of the company.

Betty, despite having rejected Miguel's offer, recommends to Armando that they should buy the supplies from them because the prices are the most favorable. Daniel visits Patricia so that she can give him information about the company.

Daniel asks Olarte to help him investigate whether the fabric people offered Betty commissions. Nicolás advises Betty to accept Miguel's offer. Mario goes out with Aura María.

Olarte confirms Daniel's suspicions regarding RAG-TELA. Armando, Mario, and Betty leave for RAG-TELA to sign the contract.

Armando and Mario sign the contract with RAG-TELA. Miguel calls Betty to tell them how he wants the commission to be paid, Olarte calls Miguel and Miguel tells him that everything went very well with Betty, this conversation is recorded by Daniel.

Betty goes out to lunch with her friends and imagines what she would do with the commission she was offered at RAG-TELA. Marcela is at the club with Hugo Lombardi and Patricia when she receives a call from her brother Daniel. Betty dreams about what Armando would say if she had a lot of money.

Betty talks to Armando and Marcela about the commission she was offered. Daniel shows the recording he made to Olarte referring to Betty's commission. Armando argues with Daniel telling him to leave him alone, Betty says she is going to resign and Armando does not let her, he tells her that she is an exceptional woman, so much so, that he tells Mario that he plans to put Betty as the owner of the new company.

Armando raises Betty's salary and calls RAG-TELA to uncover the mess with her, and demands a 5% discount. Catalina Angel arrives at Ecomoda, who will be in charge of public relations for the new collection to be launched. Mario and Armando propose Betty to design the new company, which will have only one owner, her.

Armando explains to Betty (hiding the reality a little), the conditions and the reasons why he needs to create this company, she accepts and also tells him to occupy Olarte's office but she asks him not to separate her from him. Betty tells Nicolás, and he, very happy, asks her if he can make interventions.

Betty proposes to Nicolás to work in the new company and present him with a new investment plan. Several days later, they register the company. Armando and Mario plan to change Hugo's designs from the launch of the collection for the same designs but with RAG-TELA fabrics without Hugo realizing it.

Betty and Nicolás make the consignment of the money for the new company. Hugo puts the finishing touches to the parade choreography.

Betty tells Nicolás that she has Armando's authorization to move the money as they wish.

Marcela manages to convince Hugo to do the fashion show with RAG-TELA fabrics. The fashion show is done, but the European guest designer tells Catalina that the designs of the collection are good but the materials are not, and that he thinks the collection will not work.

When the parade is over, the singer Anasol begins her presentation. Marcela tries to get Armando to apologize to Hugo, but he tells her no. Hugo resigns and leaves Ecomoda. Don Roberto warns Armando that with these materials the situation could become very difficult. Catalina asks Armando to look for Hugo because he can publicly discredit him.

Armando goes to look for Hugo at a bar. Betty and the Cartel go to a discotheque. Nicolás is at another disco with Román and his friends. Hugo arrives at the bar and sees Armando.

The Cartel gets drunk and Sofía discovers her ex-husband with the promoter, she makes a scandal for him. Román and his friends cheat on Nicolás because his supposed partner makes out with Román and makes him pay the whole bill. Armando convinces Hugo and he proposes a bet where if he loses, he must dress up as Drag-Queen.

The whole Cartel gets drunk except Inesita, who calls Freddy to help her with all of them and he takes Betty out loaded. Don Hermes picks Betty up at the discotheque. Armando asks Betty to summon the executives to tell them that she is staying in charge of Ecomoda.

Mario invites Aura María to lunch before the trip. Armando, Marcela and Mario leave for Miami, then Betty assumes her duties and has her first confrontation with Patricia when she becomes her boss. Armando calls Betty a few days later and she asks him to come to Colombia, because things are not going well.

Betty, upon receiving the sales reports, asks Patricia to reconfirm the return for the next day. Betty does not approve Hugo to hire models for the sizing and they rebel against her. When Armando arrives and finds the situation so serious, he asks Betty for a loan from her company for Ecomoda.

Nicolás takes Betty the checkbook and the company's stamp for the loan. Mario makes a rebuff to Aura María and she intends to take revenge. Armando and Mario write the check for 100 million pesos for Betty to sign.

Armando and Mario convince Betty that nothing is going to happen with the loan, but that it is a preventive measure, and she signs the check. Aura María sneaks into Mario's office and when they are kissing, Patricia enters and finds them; a scandal breaks out and Mario throws Aura María out. Daniel also asks Patricia that if she is not going to be his informant then she should leave Ecomoda.

Armando authorizes Hugo two of the three models for sizing and orders to look for one with an ad in the newspaper. Betty intercedes for Aura María with Armando and he orders Gutiérrez to reinstate her, but Gutiérrez blackmails her and invites her out that night to negotiate her reinstatement.

Freddy, upon learning that Aura María will not be fired, tries to locate her to warn her against Gutiérrez and asks Bertha, Gutiérrez's secretary, for her cell phone and home phone number. Armando receives a model in the office and asks Betty for discretion. Betty stays locked up all night in the office. Gutierrez's wife arrives at the discotheque and angrily throws him out.

Freddy arrives at the discotheque and leaves the watch as collateral for the bill left unpaid by Gutiérrez. Patricia apologizes to Daniel and accepts his conditions. Armando, regretting having left Betty locked up all night, gives her the day off.

Gutiérrez arrives at Ecomoda beaten, scratched and furious, and asks Bertha and Freddy to resign. The Cartel asks Armando for help and he confronts Gutiérrez. Mario presents a new sales strategy to save the company.

Upon realizing the economic catastrophe of the sales report, Armando proposes to Betty that her company repossess Ecomoda, and, despite Betty's arguments for refusing to make this move, Armando finally convinces her. Marcela arrives from Miami and realizes the situation and becomes furious with Betty; Armando defends her.

Armando and Mario ask Hugo for a new collection and he accepts but only if it is with first quality materials, and in passing he reminds Armando of the bet he has with him to dress as Drag-Queen. In the casting that Hugo is doing for the sizing model arrives the mistress of Sofía's husband. She makes a scandal but Hugo hires her.

Hugo has the promoter hired on purpose and over the entreaties of Sofía and Armando, whom she has asked for the favor. Betty gives the collateral to Armando for Ecomoda's foreclosure.

Marcela complains to Aura María about the scandal with Mario. Armando asks Betty to be very discreet with the transaction and that no one finds out. Sofía continues to insult the promoter and the promoter in turn mocks her.

Armando manages to convince Marcela to help him with Ecomoda's problems. The banks start to harass with debts. Hugo prepares the next collection; Sofía asks the promoter to talk.

Daniel shows up at Ecomoda surprising Armando who is booking the new collection, and enters Betty's office to try to get information from her about the sales failure. Bertha puts on the dress she copied from Patricia. Mariana reads Betty's cards again.

The Ugly Cartel proposes to Freddy that he seduces the promoter and asks her out to make her end her relationship with Efrain, Sofia's ex-husband.

Mario suggests to Armando that they buy the materials from a company that brings them from Panamá. Betty is very worried about the possibility that the supplier from Panamá will be contacted. The promoter accepts Freddy's invitation to go out.

Mario presents the quote from the middleman in Panamá to Armando and Betty, who is suspicious. But Armando gets excited and asks Mario to travel to Panamá without anyone knowing about it. Freddy arranges a lunchtime date with the promoter.

Hugo reminds Armando that that night is the Drag-Queen party. Freddy changes the restaurant at the suggestion of Jenny, the promoter, and the Ugly Cartel loses the money and the trap because Efrain arrives at the restaurant and finds no one. Sofía keeps Jenny's paycheck and Jenny goes to complain to Gutiérrez.

Marcela convinces Sofía to return the check. Armando and Betty get the loan from the bank for $2 million, but Betty is worried.

Hugo forces Armando to dress up as Drag Queen and he arrives at the discotheque where he is very well received. Marcela goes out to eat with Patricia and a model.

Armando fulfills the bet and when he wants to leave, he is locked up by several cars and has to go out to get a cab dressed as Drag-Queen, while Marcela waits for him accompanied by Daniel, Maria Beatriz and the model he has to hire that same night, Armando desperately asks Betty to pick him up in a cab.

Betty picks up Armando and when he cannot enter Ecomoda because of his clothes, Betty takes him to her house and Julia tries to help him. Hermes gets up and they hide Armando, but he rings his cell phone.

Betty and Julia manage to distract Hermes and Armando can leave for home. Patricia tells Daniel that Mario traveled to import fabrics. Armando and Marcela hire Claudia Vásquez.

Armando travels to Panamá. Bertha wears the dress she bought at Ecomoda, the same as Patricia's, who becomes furious while Hugo and Marcela laugh. Freddy crashes Armando's car while flirting with the promoter.

Patricia, on Daniel's orders, goes undercover to find out the names of the suppliers in New York, and Betty discovers them. Betty tries to track down Armando to fill him in on what is going on.

Betty tells Armando what happened with Patricia, who calls Marcela to complain. Seeing what is happening, she decides to travel that same day while Freddy tries to solve the car problem as soon as possible. When Armando arrives, Freddy is not able to tell him about the crash.

Armando does not notice the car crash because of his anger against Patricia, she evades responsibility by pretending to be sick. Armando believes that the car was crashed in the garage of the apartment, Freddy is saved.

La Dian captures the truck drivers. Charlie Zaa arrives and the Cartel is in an uproar. Armando is left cold when he realizes that they were tricked and that the middleman disappeared and they cannot recover the fabrics.

Unable to solve the problem with La Dian for smuggling, Armando asks Betty to have Terramoda seize Ecomoda. Armando summons Marcela and Hugo to a meeting to inform them of what happened.

Armando gives Marcela an accommodating version of the supplier's deception in New York. Hermes offers to take Armando and Betty to the notary for the foreclosure. Patricia calls Armando to inform him.

Don Hermes ends up complaining about Armando's mistreatment of Betty, and Armando, repentant, tries to dissimulate. Mario tries to get Patricia's body out of the pregnancy. Marcela asks Armando, on behalf of Daniel and herself, to call Roberto and tell him what is happening.

Patricia begins to manipulate everyone about the pregnancy. Roberto announces to Armando that he is coming to the launch of the collection, so he and Mario are very worried. Catalina Ángel rejects Armando's call.

Daniel is convinced that the child Patricia is expecting is his. Daniel asks Patricia to leave the country since he got her a job in New York.

Mario tries to convince Patricia not to have the baby, but she makes a show of being a victim, Mario is worried. Armando negotiates the fabrics with Claudia Helena Vásquez. Bertha's husband takes 5 million pesos to Ecomoda to buy a car.

Bertha discusses with the Cartel the advantages and disadvantages of liposuction or the car. Armando and Mario go to find Catalina to help them with the collection.

Armando and Mario convince Catalina to work with them. Claudia Helena and her partner accept the credit conditions and do the business.

Betty gets the loan in the name of her company and Armando asks her to continue the foreclosure proceedings against Ecomoda. The promoter begs Hugo to let her parade but he refuses. Bertha appears at Ecomoda after liposuction.

Marcela announces to Armando that her parents will arrive the next day. Armando, worried about the creditors, sends Betty to find the lawyer to enforce the foreclosure. Mario and Betty negotiate with the lawyer.

The promoter goes out with Freddy to ask him to help her get a parade. Betty arranges with the lawyers for a lien to be placed on the property.

The Ugly Cartel discovers Patricia exercising in a gym and suspects she is pregnant. The lawyer and Nicolás file the lawsuit for the seizure.

Bertha and Sofía manage to get the company to force Patricia to take some tests, including a blood test for pregnancy. But in the contract, she does not appear as insured.

Roberto and Margarita arrive, and they are very worried about the failure of the collection. Marcela tries to calm them down. Armando and Betty ask the bank manager to be cautious about the seizure.

Daniel arrives at the meeting at Roberto's house. Freddy tries to talk to Armando and Hugo to let Jenny parade, but Hugo rejects her. Bertha arrives home where her husband is waiting for her with the car.

Armando manages to evade the meeting requested by Roberto. Bertha calls the lab posing as Patricia to request a pregnancy test.

Margarita and Roberto arrive for the meeting at Ecomoda, at the same time that Mr. Sanchez and the notary's official arrive to make the inventory at Ecomoda for the seizure.

Armando tells Roberto and Daniel that the men they saw at the company are from the insurance company that will insure Ecomoda. Roberto is satisfied with the balance sheet presented by Betty. The lawyers continue to take inventory.

Hugo shows the new collection to Roberto and Margarita. Claudia, one of the models, flirts head-on with Armando, Marcela notices. Armando signs the seizure order. Claudia sneaks into Armando's office and kisses him, he responds.

Betty manages to get into Armando's office and hide Claudia when Marcela enters and searches everywhere for her. Armando questions Betty about Nicolás after overhearing a phone conversation. Betty tells them that he is informed because he works with Terramoda.

Marcela angrily asks Armando to throw Claudia out, but he refuses because she is the main model of the fashion show for the launching that is the next day, so Marcela asks him to take Betty out. Armando suspects that Nicolás is Betty's boyfriend.

Armando asks Betty if she has a boyfriend, but she denies it. Marcela tells Patricia that she's going to take Betty's head off. Patricia confronts the Cartel, Marcela intervenes attacking Betty. Armando asks Bertha if Betty has a boyfriend.

Bertha tells Armando what Mariana told Betty in the cards, and he becomes more concerned. Bertha calls the lab and is told that the tests are being sent today with the pregnancy tests.

The envelope with Patricia's tests arrives and Gutiérrez takes it without Bertha being able to look at it. Claudia, the model, is getting drunk in the preparations for the fashion show. Mario suggests to Armando that they have to make Betty fall in love to get Nicolás out.

Claudia gets drunk and Armando fires her. Bertha retrieves Patricia's tests, and they discover, from the results, that she is falsely pregnant. She decides to go to the hotel to tell Mario. Armando calls Jenny to replace Claudia.

Mario and Daniel, each on his own, try to negotiate with Patricia to vouch for the son without compromising themselves. The Ugly Cartel arrives at the hotel but the doorman prevents them from entering. Freddy arrives with Jenny to the surprise of the Cartel.

To the surprise of the Ugly Cartel, Mario tells Armando to let Betty and her friends in. The promoter is confused by Sofía, who writes insults to her in a letter, stumbles on the catwalk and Hugo pulls her out.

The parade ends with great success. The Ugly Cartel waits for Mario to give him the news of Patricia's test, but when Patricia finds out, she complains to Bertha and threatens to report her for asking for the test. Patricia has to tell Mario and Daniel that she is not pregnant. Nicolás and Hermes arrive at the hotel for Betty.

When Freddy is about to go out with the promoter, Aura Maria seduces him, and he dumps Jenny. Armando is more worried when he realizes that Nicolás Mora has a business card as manager of Terramoda.

Freddy and Aura Maria party all night long. Armando and Betty dream of their romance. Daniel demands Betty's resignation.

Mario is about to convince Armando to fall in love with Betty. Daniel calls Patricia to tell her that she is traveling at 5:00 p.m. and that he is waiting for the resignation letter. Patricia is writing a letter denouncing Daniel and his sexual harassment. He gets scared and asks her to stay.

Patricia keeps the letter of resignation to protect herself from Daniel. The Ugly Cartel goes to lunch to read the letters. Mario tells Armando that the seduction of Betty has to begin that night.

Mariana reads the cards to Betty and tells her that all her dreams will come true. Bertha tells Armando that the letters tell Betty that her romance with Nicolás will come true. He and Mario plan the night.

Nicolás meets with Mr. Sanchez. Betty and Armando go to a cheap coffee shop and Armando gets drunk. Mario leaves and leaves them alone.

Armando asks Betty to dance a bolero and tries to seduce her. Armando, who has continued drinking, tells Betty that he is fascinated by her and kisses her. Betty, frightened, runs away.

Armando, very angry and repentant, is convinced by Mario to confirm to Betty what happened the night before, and Mario promises him that he will do it that night.

Sofía damages the cell phone of the promoter. Armando feels guilty about what happened with Betty and doesn't talk about it. Patricia and Marcela make fun of Betty and Betty hears them.

Gutiérrez asks Sofía to resign because of the fight with the promoter, and the Cartel, on Mariana's idea, tells her that if they fire Sofía they will fire all of them. Marcela gives Sofia a lawyer's card to sue Efrain. Armando tells Betty that he is taking her home.

Mario runs away from Patricia and goes out with one of the models. Armando takes Betty home and tells her of his love for her, they kiss passionately.

Armando kisses Betty again and talks to her about a relationship, but also warns her that no one can know, not even those from the Cartel.

Patricia is out of gasoline and makes a fuss because she hasn't been paid her salary. Armando asks Betty for a loan in dollars to send to his parents in London.

The Cartel, to annoy Patricia, tell her that Betty has no financial worries because she has a rich boyfriend. She tells Hugo, Marcela, and Armando. Armando is furious with Betty. Betty asks the Cartel to stop bothering her with Nicolás.

Armando complains to Betty about the rich boyfriend, who reiterates that she is not the one who said it. Mario brings Armando a whole paraphernalia of cheesy details for love, such as cards, chocolates, etc., to give to Betty.

Daniel arrives at Ecomoda to claim his money for the month, he talks to Betty, Armando and Marcela. Daniel proposes an agreement to Patricia to become a lover and solve her economic problems with him or with a friend. Armando and Mario leave Betty a love card. Betty is moved.

Betty, very grateful to Armando, pokes him in the eye and flirts with him, who asks her to wait for him to take her home. Mario suggests Armando to go to Colorin's cocktail party to throw Marcela off the scent. Armando leaves Betty at a disco to wait for him while he goes to the cocktail party.

Marcela complains to Armando about the woman who disappeared the night before. Betty has left a poem on his desk. Marcela, in the fight, mistakenly takes the poem.

Marcela discovers and reads the poem that Betty has left for Armando, she is convinced that Armando's lover is the one who signed the poem. Betty, frightened, asks Armando to end the affair. Marcela asks Hugo to investigate who is Delmira Agustini, the person who signs the poem.

Hugo informs Marcela that Armando's supposed lover is a poet who died in 1914. Nicolás' friend returns his cell phone. Mario convinces Armando not to leave Betty. Marcela continues to investigate who Armando's lover is.

Patricia tries to instigate Marcela to pursue Armando, but she rejects the offer. Armando arrives that night at Betty's house and begs her to hear him, she agrees.

Armando convinces Betty to reconcile, but in the utmost secrecy, and kisses her. Román and his friends discover them and make fun of Betty, Armando fist fights with them. Betty decides to change, to become a new woman.

Betty decides to change her look and asks Armando for permission to arrive late to Ecomoda. Patricia accuses Aura María to Gutiérrez for her late arrival, who, pressured by Marcela, decides to fire her. Armando asks Patricia to take Aura María's place at the reception desk. Betty arrives at a clothing store to buy a dress.

Betty went into a hairdresser to have her hairstyle changed.

The entire Cartel sympathizes with Aura María and sees that she was kicked out of the house and out of Ecomoda. Marcela talks to her.

Betty, obeying Armando, tells those from the Cartel that she has an affair with Nicolás Mora. Mario shows Armando that the next step is to sleep with Betty. The Cartel is very worried about how ugly Betty has become and they think about how to tell her.

Those from the Cartel are not able to say anything to Betty, when they see her convinced that she is very well. Patricia answers a call from Nicolás in which he disrespects her as a millionaire. Daniel confronts Betty about her look.

Armando talks to Betty and tells her not to pay attention to the others, but that he prefers her as before. Betty informs Nicolás that he and she are dating. Patricia asks Mario and Hugo to borrow 5 million pesos; when she gets nothing, she plans to ask Daniel for it.

Daniel rejects Patricia and denies her the loan. A few days go by, and Armando and Betty are at a discotheque.

The Cartel sings Betty's birthday. Armando and Mario get to celebrate and give her a kiss. Sofía prepares to confront her ex-husband in a reconciliation. Armando complains to Betty for not telling him about her birthday.

Armando invites Betty to a night out to celebrate her birthday. Marcela saves Catalina Ángel from a $2,500 fraud that she is going to lend to Patricia.

Sofía ends the conciliation meeting with her ex-husband very badly. Nicolás calls Betty to congratulate her and invite her to lunch, but she invents that she is going to celebrate with the Cartel. Hermes tells Nicolás and Julia to throw Betty a surprise party at the house. Patricia and Marcela plan to follow Armando that night to see him with his lover.

Julia calls Bertha to invite her to celebrate Betty's birthday. Patricia gets a car, hats and glasses to camouflage herself and follow Armando. Armando agrees to pick Betty up at 10 o'clock when the party is over.

The Ugly Cartel arrives at Betty's house to celebrate her birthday.

Betty reminds everyone that she has to leave before 10:00 pm. Marcela and Patricia follow Armando and discover him at the bar with Mario and then to Betty's house. Hermes discovers Armando in a corner waiting for Betty.

Hermes makes Armando enter the house to Betty's and everyone's bewilderment. Nicolás arrives with a serenade and flowers for Betty, but she does not let him into the house. Marcela and Patricia are still waiting.

The Cartel leaves the party and Aura María leaves with Freddy. Betty asks Julia to put Hermes to bed so she can go out with Armando. Román and his friends discover Marcela and Patricia, they get in the car and Patricia throws a gas at Román and finally the police take them all away. Armando and Betty arrive at a discotheque.

Armando and Betty manage to get away from Hermes and Julia, they leave for a bar. Betty, very bold, suggests to Armando that they go to a quieter place, he takes her to a hotel.

Armando tries to avoid the moment and Betty agrees and apologizes for harassing him. Armando sees her in this attitude and decides to make love. Patricia negotiates with the prosecution and manages to get out of trouble.

Betty does not tell Armando with whom she had sex before. Armando evades Marcela who is waiting for him in the apartment and rejects her when she wants to make love. Armando explains to Betty why he came to Ecomoda with Marcela.

Armando confesses to Mario that Betty moved him. Betty tells Aura María that she made love with Nicolás. Marcela is very worried about Armando's rejection, which makes her suspect that now she is losing him. Armando and Mario ask Betty again to make up the report for the meeting.

Marcela confronts Adriana but Hugo, knowing that she thinks she is Armando's lover, tells her that Adriana is married and has just arrived in the country. Catalina invites all Ecomoda employees to the Picasso exhibition. Betty is still furious with Armando.

Armando tries to keep Betty, but she cuts him off and leaves with the Cartel for the Picasso exhibition. Armando, instigated by Mario, arrives at the museum. Marcela and Patricia arrive at the museum to look for Armando.

Armando takes Betty out of the museum before Marcela discovers them and proposes to go to Mario's apartment after convincing her that he has nothing with Adriana Arboleda.

Marcela and Patricia, along with those from the Cartel, finish watching the exhibition. Armando insists to Betty that they go to Mario's apartment, she accepts and they make love.

Armando, after making love with Betty, presses her to tell him the story of her first time. Betty tells him that she was the victim of a deception by her neighborhood friends because they made a bet. Armando is dying of guilt and regret.

Armando arrives at Marcela's and avoids her when she tries to seduce him. Marcela is very hurt because now she thinks she is losing him. Armando tells Mario about Betty.

Aura María arrives late with Freddy, but Marcela finally forgives them. Betty interrupts Armando and Marcela's conversation about the trip, to tell Armando that she can't travel because she has to negotiate with suppliers, Marcela is furious. Cecilia Boloco arrives at Ecomoda.

Mario walks Cecilia Boloco through Ecomoda and she hears Armando shouting and fighting with Marcela. Armando decides to stay to relieve the suppliers and calm Marcela down. Marcela invites Betty to lunch.

Marcela begs Betty to tell her if she thinks it is possible to insist on the relationship with Armando, but Betty remains silent. Sandra gives Betty the package that Mario left for Armando with the gifts and a letter with instructions and poems to leave for Betty, she opens the envelope and begins to read the letter.

Betty, horrified, reads all of Mario's instructions to Armando. Cecilia Boloco finds her crying and Betty assaults her, but Betty tries to calm her down by telling her about her sorrows of love. Betty packs everything back into the package and leaves the office.

Betty photocopies Mario's letter and returns the package to Sandra. Sofia receives a communication from Efrain's lawyer, she is worried about the house. Mario calls Armando to remind him of the package with the instructions and Betty overhears the conversation, Catalina discovers her crying and disconsolate. She tries to calm her down.

Betty evades the Ugly Cartel. Armando arrives at Betty's office, but she manages to hide her pain and tells him to leave because her father is coming to pick her up. Catalina proposes to take her home, Betty tells him that she doesn't want to go back to Ecomoda.

Betty does not tell Catalina anything, but Catalina is worried when she learns that Betty does not want to return to Ecomoda. Betty starts to tell Nicolás everything.

Betty continues to tell Nicolás about the meetings, the gifts and Mario and Armando's strategy to avoid losing the company to Betty and Nicolás.

Nicolás proposes revenge to Betty. Betty reflects by writing in her diary about her past and the bullying she suffered at school and university.

Catalina Ángel asks Betty not to vote for any of the gifts until the man who humiliated her gives her an explanation. A court arrives at Ecomoda to take Patricia's car with a seizure order. Armando puts on Betty's desk one of the cards he read the day before and she reads angrily.

Armando denies Patricia the help to pay for the embargo and the car is taken away. Armando congratulates Betty for the business they closed with Claudia Helena and invites her to Adriana Arboleda's launch, Betty accepts the invitation and asks her to go to Mario's apartment afterwards.

Armando and Betty arrive at Adriana Arboleda's launch. Betty asks Adriana to let Nicolás enter the launch.

Nicolás arrives at the fashion show and Betty introduces him as her boyfriend to Gisela Valcárcel, who has been invited by Hugo. Patricia is discovered by Armando, who makes her life impossible at the event. Betty says goodbye to Armando who is terrified to know that she is leaving with Nicolás.

Patricia introduces herself to Nicolás and proposes to meet him the next day. She introduces Nicolás to Armando. Betty manages to get away from Armando and leaves with Nicolás. Betty asks Nicolás to buy a car the next day.

Armando complains to Betty about the flyer with Nicolás Mora, but Betty answers him very calmly and smiling. Armando tells Mario about Betty's strange behavior, who hears everything behind the door.

Armando writes a card to Betty, who receives it with great indifference. Nicolas arranges for Betty to meet him at a car dealership to see the Mercedes they are going to buy.

Armando follows Betty and sees Nicolás and Betty enter the house. Armando calls her on the phone, and she refuses. Hermes and Julia complain to Betty about the car. Betty tells Nicolás that she is going to tell Armando the next day that she knows about his plans. Marcela tries to set Armando up for marriage.

Once again Armando rejects Marcela and she suffers thinking that he is in love with someone else. Armando has nightmares about the car and Nicolás. Betty takes Nicolás to a clothing store and she arrives at Ecomoda driving the Mercedes-Benz.

All of Ecomoda is amazed with Betty in the Mercedes-Benz. Armando asks Betty for an explanation, and she confesses that the car was bought by Terramoda.

Betty manages to avoid the subject of their relationship until they are interrupted by Marcela. Daniel confronts Betty about the boyfriend's car, and she answers him without being intimidated.

Betty takes her friends to lunch at the Lenoir, in the Mercedes-Benz she drives. Armando and Mario are at the restaurant with a client, and everyone is surprised.

Betty and the Cartel order lobster and champagne. Daniel tells Marcela that at the meeting they are going to ask for their capital to withdraw from Ecomoda. Armando suspects Betty's revenge.

Armando begins to suspect that Betty is taking revenge on him. Marcela tells Patricia that she is going to find out everything about Terramoda and Betty's boyfriend. Mario asks Sandra if anyone took the green package she left on a desk.

Sandra, frightened, denies to Mario that someone took the package. Armando writes a card to Betty, and she reads it and throws it away. Armando asks Betty to meet him that night, but she tells him she is going out with her friends.

Patricia tells Marcela that she is going out that night with Nicolás Mora.

Betty, upon leaving with Armando, remembers that Nicolás took the Mercedes-Benz. Betty is humiliated to see Armando greeting everyone and not introducing her. Nicolas picks up Patricia and they head to the Lenoir. Betty starts drinking straight vodka.

Betty tries to seduce Armando, but he does not allow himself to be caressed or kissed in the place where they are. Patricia and Nicolás arrive at the Lenoir and although the situation is uncomfortable for her, she begins to seduce him.

Armando discovers Betty's phone call in the bathroom.

Patricia invites Nicolas to the apartment, but he is petrified and says goodbye. Betty authorizes Nicolás to take out a credit card. Armando writes a card to Betty.

Armando tells Mario about the nightmare he had last night with Betty. A friend of Marcela's who saw Armando with Betty calls her to tell her. Armando asks Betty if she still loves him.

Betty reminds Armando that he promised her that once the meeting is over, he will cancel the marriage with Marcela. Daniel Valencia tells Marcela that, once the meeting is over, he will sell his shares. Marcela asks Armando about the previous night.

Marcela tells Armando about Daniel's intention to sell his shares in Ecomoda. The Cartel call the Lenoir and confirm that Patricia was eating with Nicolás Mora the night before. The Cartel decides to tell Betty.

Betty calls Nicolás angrily and complains about Patricia; Armando and Mario hear her. Nicolás resigns from his position as manager. Again, Armando complains to Betty out of jealousy. Patricia asks Hugo to hire her as a model, but Hugo makes fun of her.

Sofía, through the lawyer, manages to put Efraín in jail. Jenny makes a scandal to Sofia and ends up undressing in the hallway, in front of everyone. Nicolás arrives for Betty at Ecomoda.

Nicolás arrives at Ecomoda to pick up Betty and she leaves with Patricia, Nicolás gets scared, and Patricia calls a cab. Armando follows Betty and Nicolas to the Lenoir.

Armando follows Betty and Nicolás. Betty gives Nicolás permission to visit Patricia on the condition that he does not give her any money.

When Nicolás goes to Patricia's house, Armando arrives furious and complains to Betty like a jealous boyfriend, until Hermes comes out and it's his turn to leave. Patricia invites Nicolás to come up to her apartment and makes the car repossession show, he promises to help her.

Nicolás tells Betty about the kiss with Patricia, she warns him to be careful. Armando and Marcela arrive from Ecomoda together and Betty learns about the closing of the apartment they bought together. Catalina calms her down.

Armando tells Mario what happened the night before with Betty.

Armando writes a card to Betty without Mario's help, where he tells her that she is the best thing in his life and that he no longer feels anything for Marcela.

Margarita visits Ecomoda with Armando and Marcela. Hugo asks Marcela to try on her wedding dress.

Sofía visits Efraín at the prosecutor's office. Betty sees Marcela in her wedding dress.

Armando arrives at Inesita's house where the entire Ugly Cartel and Hugo are. Patricia waits for Nicolás. Armando insults Nicolás.

Armando ends up hitting Nicolás and leaves him badly hurt. Betty stops the fight by hitting Armando. Patricia asks Nicolás to go home so she can heal his wound.

Patricia, seeing that Nicolás does not bring the checkbook, gets him to promise to give him the check the next day. Mario forces Armando to apologize to Betty and to write her a card.

Marcela demands from Gutiérrez that Aura Maria replace Bertha. Rafael, Inesita's husband, appears after 20 years of abandonment. Armando apologizes to Betty and admits that what happened was out of jealousy and that after the meeting he will make it public. Betty does not believe him.

Betty gives the real balance sheet to Armando and Mario, who are concerned. Betty tells them that she will give them the balance sheet in the evening. Catalina suggests Betty to go with her to the United States. Marcela complains to Betty about the slap.

Betty asks Catalina, crying, to please take her away. Daniel shows the papers from the Chamber of Commerce where Betty's name appears as the owner of Terramoda, she defends herself and Roberto ends the discussion. Patricia asks Nicolás for the money for that same night.

Marcela complains to Armando for getting slapped by Betty, who defends her. Betty confirms to Catalina her intention to travel. Armando harasses Betty to make up the balance.

Armando begs Betty to believe he loves her; she gives in and kisses him.

Betty authorizes Nicolás to continue the game with Patricia but warns him to watch his pocket. Daniel offers Patricia one of his friends.

Patricia introduces Daniel's friend as her boyfriend. Armando tells Marcela that he can't go to her apartment because he has to go to Ecomoda to work with Betty. Daniel's friend tells him that Ecomoda is heavily in debt with the banks.

Armando arrives at Ecomoda and Betty hands him the make-up report. He confesses his love again and kisses her, Betty says goodbye knowing that it is the last kiss. Armando admits to himself that he is in love. Nicolas leaves the checkbook in the car before going up to Patricia.

Inesita and Rafael talk about the 20 years of absence and Rafael asks her to forgive him and listen to him. Patricia harasses Nicolás for the check, but first she puts him to bed and makes love to him. Betty tells Hermes that she is going to resign from Ecomoda.

Betty announces to her family that she is leaving Ecomoda the next day and delivers Terramoda with the car. Nicolás leaves Patricia's house without giving her the check for the 6 million. Armando promises himself that he will never marry Marcela.

Betty asks Nicolás to wash the Mercedes-Benz to deliver it. Patricia tries to contact Nicolás, but he hands the cell phone to Betty. Rafael continues to Inesita. Olarte brings Daniel the report from the Chamber of Commerce where Ecomoda is embargoed by Terramoda.

Betty overhears Armando and Mario talking about sending Betty on a trip abroad so that Armando will marry Marcela.

Marcela tells Margarita that Armando is not sure he wants to get married.

Nicolás arrives at Ecomoda to leave Betty's car, Patricia knows that he is downstairs and goes out to look for him, Nicolás flies away. Betty enters the meeting room with the folders, Armando and Mario open them and see the letter of instruction to conquer Betty.

Betty gives the board the actual balance sheet, in addition to the letters and uncovers the reality of Ecomoda, Daniel and Armando confront each other, Marcela cries. Armando tells them the whole process of the assembly of Terramoda, Daniel and Marcela panic when they learn that Betty is the owner of Ecomoda.

Betty resigns and returns the company and the car. Roberto asks Armando to resign, and Armando does so, but rejects Daniel's proposal to liquidate the company. Armando goes to look for Betty, and when he is hugging her, Marcela arrives.

Marcela has Armando returned to the boardroom. Betty says goodbye to her friends and Marcela forces her to show her Armando's cards that she carries in her bag. Marcela reads several and Mario's letter of instruction.

Roberto tells Armando that he never wants to see him again. Catalina calls Betty and tells her that she is waiting for her at the airport. Armando calls Betty, but she refuses. Armando decides to go look for Betty.

Marcela shows Margarita the cards and Armando's letter seized by Betty. Marcela and Armando talk about their relationship with Betty.

Patricia is shocked when Marcela tells her that Nicolás is a starving man. Armando goes to look for Betty, but she has already left for the airport. Betty arrives in Cartagena with Catalina and is fascinated by the sea. A call from Marcela comes in on Catalina's cell phone.

Betty tries to talk to Catalina to tell her what happened at Ecomoda, but Catalina asks her to take advantage of the trip to forget everything. Patricia is told that her car is being taken away for good.

Betty accompanies Catalina to a party with the queens at the fishing club where she meets Michel, a French friend of Catalina. Marcela tells Patricia everything and Bertha's son is born. Meanwhile, Armando drinks away his sorrows in a bar.

Betty refuses the invitation to go out that night with Catalina and Michel, she prefers to stay alone and tour the hotel, she goes to the sea and touches it for the first time. Armando drinks alone in a bar thinking about Betty.

Betty definitely stays working with Catalina. Armando insists Julia to tell him where Betty is.

Betty keeps telling Catalina about her tragedy. Marcela asks Armando about the wedding, and he decides not to conciliate. Roberto and Margarita arrive at Ecomoda and meet with the lawyers and Daniel, concluding that Betty must be present in the process.

Julia tells Betty that she is needed the next day at Ecomoda and Betty asks her to tell Nicolás to go on her behalf. Catalina and Betty receive Tais at the hotel and plan to go out with her in the evening. Catalina tells Betty to accept a dress from her on loan.

Catalina convinces Betty to wear one of her dresses and put her hair up, and they go to the English army cocktail party with Chica da Silva, Michel and Ornela. Betty feels very lonely and out of place the whole party. Marcela asks Armando if he fell in love with Betty.

Armando confesses to Marcela that he fell in love with Betty. Tais gives Betty advice to free herself from sadness. Catalina and Betty go to the arrival of the Gloria Ship that is received by the President of the Republic.

Betty meets Buque Gloria. Nicolás Mora arrives at the meeting on Betty's behalf, but everyone rejects the replacement. Patricia attacks him with questions, Armando begs Nicolás to tell Betty that he needs her. Catalina and Betty arrive at a clothing store to buy clothes.

Nicolás tells Julia about Terramoda and Ecomoda, and the legal problem Betty is in. Catalina buys Betty some clothes and takes her to the hairdresser's where she only has her hair removed. Michel is astonished to see Betty's change.

Michel is very impressed with Betty's change. Betty has a conversation with Franco de Vita. Catalina convinces Betty to go out that night to Tais' farewell party. Armando keeps calling Julia, but she still doesn't tell him where she is.

Catalina and all the friends convince Betty to go to a party in a chiva to say goodbye to Tais. Marcela talks to Armando about her absurd love for Betty, but he still doesn't hear her. Michel invites Betty to stay with him for a while at the beach.

Michel accompanies Betty and asks her to meet him the next day. Armando is still drunk in the bar; they take him out and send him in a cab. The board meets again waiting for Betty to show up. Nicolas arrives and after slipping away from Patricia enters the meeting room.

Nicolás refuses to tell them where Betty is and tells them to wait until she arrives. Patricia makes another scandal to Nicolás. Betty asks Nicolás to send the foreclosure lawyers to Ecomoda.

Margarita begs Armando to get Marcela and the company back. Nicolás calls the lawyers, but they say that the seizure can no longer be reversed.

Catalina asks Betty to stop by the beauty salon for another makeover.

Michel convinces Betty that she is fine and that he wants to go out with her and not to do Catalina a favor. Armando calls Julia and she passes him to Nicolás who informs him that the court ruled in Betty's favor. Armando, Mario, Margarita and Marcela panic.

Cecilia congratulates Betty for the change. Armando calls Julia and she complains about what he did to Betty and forbids him to call her again. Nicolás tries to convince the lawyers to stop the process.

Michel asks Betty to forgive him for having dared to kiss her. Armando reacts in favor of Marcela. The Cartel asks permission to watch the beauty pageant in the boardroom. Michel goes to the hotel to pick up Betty.

Michel takes Betty to the beauty pageant very well dressed. The Cartel, Marcela, Patricia and the Pinzón family watch the beauty pageant. Armando sees Betty on TV and thinks he is crazy. Armando throws Betty's picture in the trash.

Betty goes out with Michel for a walk in Cartagena and says goodbye to the sea. Armando asks Marcela to forgive him. Armando goes to Betty's house and tells Hermes that Betty stole his company.

Catalina takes Betty to the Rosario Islands to perform a forgiveness ceremony for Armando to return to Bogota. Roberto arrives at Ecomoda in the company of the lawyers.

Roberto and Hermes talk and reach an agreement on very good terms.

Roberto tells the board that Betty has no intention of stealing the company and that she is arriving that afternoon to work things out. Betty's lawyers show up at the meeting and set up an appointment with Betty for the next day.

Hermes, after being surprised by Betty's change, scolds her and demands that she put her face on Ecomoda. The lawyer Santamaría exposes to the board the possible solution to save Ecomoda where everyone has to sell their assets, everyone protests.

The lawyer Santamaría advises them all to stay in Betty's hands to save the company and they finally accept. Betty discovers that her mother read the newspaper. The board has to decide who will talk to Betty about the new conditions.

Roberto decides to be the one to talk to Betty. Betty complains to Julia about having read the newspaper. Santamaria cancels the appointment with Betty and the lawyers in his office. Roberto calls Betty.

Betty agrees to talk to Roberto in front of the meeting at Ecomoda. Betty meets Catalina and they go to an optician's and Catalina makes her change her glasses. Betty arrives at Ecomoda.

Betty enters Ecomoda and the surprise is for everyone, the Cartel, Patricia and Marcela. Bertha resumes her work and goes with her baby. Roberto asks Betty not to give him the company and to manage it until everything is resolved.

Roberto asks everyone to analyze the situation with Betty and she calls her lawyers. Armando and everyone are surprised by the change. The lawyers tell the board that Betty has to remain in charge of Ecomoda.

Betty faces aggression from Daniel and Marcela, but lawyer Santamaría convinces them that the company has to be managed by Betty. Roberto asks Betty to accept.

Betty asks as a condition to accept the Presidency that Marcela does not leave Ecomoda and that she hires Nicolás Mora. Hugo arrives at Ecomoda and Patricia tells him that they are waiting for him in the boardroom.

Hugo enters the boardroom and upon seeing Betty is terrified, but when he learns of his appointment as president, he wants to resign. Roberto calms everyone down and introduces Hermes as the company's new accountant. Armando and Mario hand over the position to Betty. Gutiérrez announces Betty's appointment to the employees.

Patricia makes a fuss in the board about Betty's appointment. Betty goes in to talk to Marcela, but Marcela is still as cold as ever, Betty tells her that she wants nothing to do with Armando. Hugo tells Jenny that she is rehired in front of Betty and the Cartel.

Betty hires Jenny again. The Cartel invites Betty to a disco to celebrate and Armando overhears and tells Freddy to go for a drink. Margarita, Marcela and Patricia go to dinner. Betty calls Nicolás and tells him that she is appointing him Financial Vice President.

The Cartel tries to get the secret of Ecomoda out of Betty, but she refuses. Armando and Freddy have a drink in a bar and Armando asks Freddy to find out the address of the discotheque where the Cartel is located.

Freddy enters the disco and sees Aura Maria dancing with a guy. Armando enters the disco and asks Betty to talk, but she tries to leave; however, she feels pressured, and they talk. He tells her that he loves her.

Despite Armando's pleas, Betty rejects him and leaves, telling him that she doesn't believe him. Marcela is worried about Armando's attitude. Hermes, Betty and Nicolas leave for the court date with the lawyers and Armando.

Patricia has to get to Ecomoda by bus. Betty and Armando confront each other in court, but to conciliate.

Armando asks Betty to let him have an office at Ecomoda to work on the recovery project.

Hermes prefers to keep Betty's old office. Armando tells Mario that he has given up hope with Betty. Betty meets with Marcela alone before the committee and they fight about the Cartel being kicked out.

Betty decides to reprimand and punish the Cartel and Patricia, but not to throw them out. Betty summons a committee including Mario and Armando.

Armando and Mario propose to sell the Ecomoda franchise in South and Central America, Betty accepts. Betty proposes a change of strategy with the objective of the designs so that they are prepared for ordinary women and challenges Hugo to design for the Cartel.

The board accepts Betty's proposal. Patricia becomes Marcela's secretary and Aura Maria Betty's secretary; Mariana goes to reception.

Betty sends Armando's personal belongings and the bag with the cards to Freddy.

Marcela's jealousy attacks return. Betty and Nicolás arrive at a car dealership to buy a car. Hugo sends Inesita to bring the Cartel to take her measurements for her new clothes, some of them are offended. Sandra finds the folder of Mario and Armando's letter.

The Cartel reads Armando's letter and worries about what might have happened. Betty buys a car.

Betty and Armando take each one in turn. Betty asks the time at which the garbage passes.

Armando goes down to get the bag and stops the employees from taking the garbage.

Marcela and Betty talk about the pact, Betty defends herself. Meanwhile, Armando hides the bag in his office. Daniel invites Betty to lunch the next day. Nicolás confronts Daniel to defend Patricia.

Betty arrives with the new car at Ecomoda. Betty gathers the Cartel in the meeting room so that they can explain the conversation in the bathroom, they confess, and Betty is ready to tell them everything.

Betty tells the Cartel everything and asks them to keep quiet. Catalina Ángel arrives at Ecomoda to the committee and tells everyone that she was the advisor for Betty's change.

Armando announces a trip in the committee. Marcela asks Catalina to talk. Catalina tells Betty about Michel.

Catalina confronts Marcela and tells her that she will support Betty in everything. Patricia asks Betty for a raise, Betty refuses.

Nicolás leaves his cell phone with Patricia. Betty tells the Cartel all about her trip to Cartagena and her walks with Michel, Mariana reads her cards. Betty arrives at the restaurant for her date with Daniel.

Betty defends herself against Daniel and denies him the advance. At the exit of the restaurant, Armando is waiting for her and makes a jealous scene.

The counselor arrives at Ecomoda to change the look of the Cartel. Betty finds Patricia with Nicolas' cell phone. Patricia yells at Betty and tells her to stay with her company, that she is leaving.

Betty scolds Nicolás because he lent Patricia his cell phone. A month later, Nicolás arrives with Patricia's car. Armando shows up at Ecomoda.

Armando goes to Betty's office and gives her a report of his trip very coldly, Betty is puzzled.

Armando receives the Venezuelan woman very flirtatiously and the Cartel tells Betty that it was a Caracas romance. The Cartel plan an espionage.

Armando discovers Patricia and Bertha spying on him with the Venezuelan. Betty scolds Aura Maria for spying on Armando.

The Cartel goes to the studio to get ready for the night. Alejandra asks Armando to introduce her to Betty.

Catalina receives the international guests; Betty gives interviews to the news before the fashion show. Marcela arrives furious at Ecomoda when Patricia is about to go out with Nicolás.

Armando arrives with Alejandra and meets Betty. Armando learns that Betty was in Cartagena from Claudia Helena who is talking about the Frenchman.

Hugo tells journalists that he is going to resign. Kike Santander appears.

Betty asks Armando to present the fashion show, but he pushes her to do it because it is her collection.

Marcela hides when she sees Armando with the Venezuelan woman. Hugo announces a surprise.

Mario Duarte appears at the end of the parade. The Chilean TV interviews the Cartel, Freddy ruins Aura Maria's plan with the Chilean. Catalina approaches Betty who is very sad.

Betty confesses to Catalina that it hurts her that Armando is playing the fool with the Venezuelan. Armando takes the Venezuelan to the hotel and tells her that he is going to solve the problem with Marcela. Marcela receives Armando with the things of the marriage in the room, he tries to talk to her to end the relationship on good terms.

Armando tells Marcela that he is going to be alone. Marcela lets him go and stays crying. The Cartel asks Bertha to spy on Marcela to hear what she tells Patricia.

Bertha tells the Cartel and they tell Betty that Armando broke up with Marcela. Nicolás offers Patricia a ride to and from the house.

Alejandra arrives at Ecomoda to sign the contract and Betty summons Marcela and Armando to the boardroom, Nicolás hands her the contracts.

Alejandra discovers Armando's love for Betty, she asks him to seek forgiveness. Nicolás takes Patricia to lunch, the Cartel consoles Betty. Betty recognizes that it hurts her to lose Armando.

The Cartel find Patricia arriving with Nicolas in the car with wet hair, Nicolas tries to explain what happened, but no one believes him. Michel appears in Ecomoda.

The Cartel are shocked to see Michel. Armando tells Calderón that he had nothing to do with the Venezuelan woman and that he is going to get Betty back. Betty is solving a problem and no one can find her.

Armando remembers the models' comment about the Frenchman Betty was with in Cartagena. Michel greets Betty very much in love. Patricia flirts with the Frenchman. The Cartel gathers in the bathroom to discuss Michel's arrival and Armando enters the bathroom.

Michel proposes Betty to go to Cartagena to manage a chain of restaurants that he is going to set up. Armando enters the presidency and takes the picture of Betty and the Frenchman out of her wallet, and also takes out the newspaper and reads excerpts from the beginning where Betty admired and loved him in silence. Betty enters and introduces him to Michel.

Betty introduces Michel to Armando and Armando treats him angrily. Michel insists that Betty accept the proposal to work with him in Cartagena. Armando takes Betty's diary to the office and begins to read it all with tears streaming down his face.

Michel formally proposes to Betty the position in Cartagena and Catalina tries to persuade her to accept. Armando cries in despair when he reads of Betty's betrayal. Betty tells Nicolás that she is going to resign from Ecomoda.

Armando is a mess at the office, Mario tries to comfort him. Julia invites Michel to the house. The Cartel is very sad when Betty tells them about Michel's proposal to take her to Cartagena.

The Cartel tells Armando that Betty is leaving Ecomoda to work with the Frenchman. Armando hits Mario when he finds him reading Betty's diary. Mario resigns from the company; Betty takes Michel home. Armando reads in Betty's diary that she still loves him.

Hermes talks with Michel. Inesita secretly tells Armando where Betty is. Armando promises the Cartel that he will not let Betty leave Ecomoda.

Betty accepts Michel's invitation to go out to a bar and have a few drinks.

Armando arrives at Betty's house and begs Julia to forgive him, and she tells him the name of the bar where they are.

Armando convinces Montaner and Montaner sings a bolero to Betty. Betty rejects Armando.

Julia tries to convince Betty to give Armando another chance. Betty arrives the next day at Ecomoda and writes the letter of resignation. The Cartel is alarmed, but Betty is adamant. Marcela and Betty talk, Betty tells her that the resignation is irrevocable.

Armando asks Betty not to resign, that he is not going to bother her anymore because he is leaving the country today.

Daniel decides to assume the presidency, but Marcela and Margarita do not agree. Marcela asks Armando to stay in the presidency, but he does not accept.

Marcela tells Betty everything she has known for some time about Armando's love for her and asks her to reconsider the decision to leave Ecomoda. Armando says goodbye to the Cartel, the Cartel enters Betty's office and tells her that Armando left.

Daniel tells Betty that he plans to liquidate Ecomoda, which makes Betty, and the Cartel go to look for Armando, who is in the production area saying goodbye to the staff.

Betty publicly forgives Armando, and they kiss to the applause of the entire production staff and the Cartel. Aura Maria and Freddy reconcile. Armando and Betty take Daniel out of Ecomoda. Hermes asks Betty for explanations for her behavior.

Armando officially asks for Betty's hand. Margarita tells them that she organizes the marriage. Marcela leaves Ecomoda and Patricia leaves behind. Nicolás is very sad.

Armando and Betty get married, and Armando Manzanero sings "Somos Novios". This story ends with the birth of a baby girl.
