Seen this tonight at a late showing & was blown away by how intense this film was!Seen the first Unfriended back in May 2015 & was impressed by it! Then a sequel was announced, but not mentioned too much, or seemed to have little to nothing happening in terms of its progress. But like Gallows 2, (with it not only being a Blumhouse Film also sequel to a 2015 original called The Gallows) it was filmed in secret & to be released to UK cinemas on the 10th August 2018! I at first took this with a pinch of salt & never thought it would get the cinematic release it did! I thought due to how low key it was, that it would get a DVD release...! How wrong I was...!The film is about a young man who steals a laptop which is connected to the Deep Web, the killer in the deep web is part of a abduction racket which lures people in to play sadistic games with them, manipulating the victims & then deviously making them out to be the perpetrators using devious, yet manipulative tactics by abusing the tools of the internet & computer alone!Well I went to see it & must say I was gripped from start to finish! The film was epic as hell in so many levels! The story-line this time around is more complex & I must admit, a little bit confusing, but hey it's s set up from Unfriended as it has more to think about & keeps you locked in!I won't spoil to much but the deaths in this film were pretty creative & unique! I loved the dark twisted nature of the film as well, how devious the killer was in manipulating the characters! The way the killer was so creative & calculating was just amazing! This sequel gives you more to think about! But I did feel the story was some what confusing & a tad bit hard to understand! But overall, this sequel was insane & epic as hell! Go watch it! 10/10

I'm going to start off by saying that I actually personally enjoyed the film. More jumpscares, better deaths, and a more overall realistic approach that the first installment failed to produce. The whole movie leaves an eerie feeling as the whole theme is based on a real thing known as the dark web (although it's greatly exaggerated in the film) it still leaves a mark after you leave the theater. Overall the movie is great, although it's more of a "watch it at home" type movie rather than actually going to the theater.

This movie, honestly, didn't seem like a winner. Bunch of twenty somethings playing online, something bad happens, slash, slash, bang bang, boring. Almost like the old slasher movies of the 80s. I have to admit, I was wrong! This movie starts out slow, give it a chance. I guarantee you, you will not be disappointed! It builds slowly, but gets crazy, sooner than you think. Like a good movie should.Without giving anything away, watch, learn, remember that this is actually plausible, then realize that this is only a movie. If you like this genre of film, you will love the finale.Ride it out, the pay off is totally worth it!And remember, Norah C sent you!PS. One

Lemme just start off by saying this movie is, in my opinion, not a horror film. I'd classify it much more as a crime/thriller. That being said, in a climate filled with jumpscare heavy, clichè horror, Unfriended stands out. I think this is heavily because of the actors. If anyone else was cast in this film I don't see it working the way it did. The performances were surprisingly strong with real emotion and heart shining through. The story was oringinal, a little bit far fetched, but when talking about "horror" movies, when are they not? I think more detail could've been added into the deaths, excluding one, one was VERY well done, but overall they were a little bit anticlimactic for that much build up. All of this being said, Unfriended: Dark web was a surprisingly fun, well acted movie where if you like the genre, you should definitely check it out.
