War Horse is simple. Don't have any kind of tramps, spin or turns in his plot, but is a great example of how Steven Spielberg is one of the best story tellers in the history of cinema. This movie is a powerful piece of feeling, and a prodigy of technical talent.War Horse is made it at the "old school style" with a marvelous photography, an amazing soundtrack, a camera that just work close to perfection; and all of this with no overdose of CGI like the films of nowadays. I' ve seen all the movies os his director and im pretty sure that this one have THE BEST SHOT ever made by Spielberg: The scene of the Horse running out by the battle field... Because is just AWESOME. And see this part of the movie could be a good reason that deserves watch his more of two hours, and all the respect and admiration for one director that made us love that horse, like if was yours. Beautiful film.

Young Albert enlists to serve in World War I after his beloved horse is sold to the cavalry. Albert's hopeful journey takes him out of England and to the front lines as the war rages on. War Horse is another History Epic from Steven Spielberg the director of classics such as 'Saving Private Ryan' and 'Jurassic Park'. The film definitely benefits from the terrific acting from the leads especially Jeremy Irvine but also the bond between Albert and his horse. Spielberg fans won't be disappointed but tho beware the film is pretty long but far from boring. (A+)

Nominated for 70 awards (including 6 Oscar nominations) this is a masterpiece. 'War Horse' is an amazing story of loyalty and friendship - between man and horse, and between horse and horse. The cinematography and photography is fantastic. It was engaging to see how the horse got passed on from one person to the next, and how they fell in love with him, and the effect he had on them. Steven Spielberg has a reputation for directing child stars, but I must admit newbie Celine Buckens, who played Emilie, was really bad and unconvincing. Fair enough, it was her first role, but still. I also found it annoying for the Germans to speak English with German accents. They should have spoken German, with English subtitles. I understand Spielberg wanted to make an all-English language film, but this rendered a lot of scenes unconvincing.Spielberg's war scenes are incredible and disturbing. A particular scene of the horse getting tangled in barb wire was especially disturbing. Then there was a fantastic scene where the enemy came together to save a horse. Truly inspiring. The film does get a bit sentimental at times, but in general this was really awesome!

I mostly hated this because terrible cliché story line but one thing I cant stand anymore is that the story takes place in England?! Wtf?! I wanna see American war movies, not crap from another country. Why would Spielberg waste his time to make a garbage children's movie about this? When I first watched it I thought it was in the us in 1912. But then I saw the English flag and I immediately lost interest. Thats just my opinion though. Forgive me for loving this country enough. And ill stick to some good war movies that's actually about the country I live in. I cant stand watching war movies that shows the view of other countries. Maybe if this movie was about the us I might have liked it. But now its a disaster in my opinion no offense to Europe.
