Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip (2015)

Dave (Jason Lee) goes to Miami and brings along girlfriend Samantha (Kimberly Williams-Paisley). The boys are bullied by her teenage son Miles who convinces them that Dave is about to propose to Samantha in Miami. They and Miles set off to stop them. On the plane, the boys cause an emergency landing and angry Air Marshal Suggs (Tony Hale) puts them on the no-fly list. It's a road trip with avenging Suggs on their tails. Meanwhile, the Chipettes are judges on American Idol.I'm not a fan of the Chipmunks. I have no expectations and sadly, I have no hopes for this franchise. I'm glad that the Chipettes aren't in the main plot although they managed to get in the side door. They should either be fully incorporated or cut out of the movie. I really don't like Miles and that makes this movie impossible even as he starts to turn nice. The premise would work much better if the proposal is real. I don't think this is good even for little fans of the Chipmunks.

I'm by no means a fan of the ''Alvin and the Chipmunks'' film, I didn't really hate the first film, but I really hated the second film, and the third film was bad, too. So I wasn't excited at all when I heard a 4th film was coming out, and after watching it, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT THAT THIS FILM IS THE WORST IN THE SERIES.Let's start with the story. It's bland, predictable, and just awful, like the other films in the series, which all had terrible stories, but this film has the worst of them all.Then there's the writing, which is also abysmal, too. It focuses too much on unfunny humor(which I will talk about later), and cringe worthy pop culture references, too, which is NOT GOOD. Really.And then there's the humor, and wow, it's filled to the brim with potty humor, which makes it VERY UNFUNNY. It also doesn't help that the chipmunks are back, too. Yeah, they are annoying, like always, but this film easily shows them AT THEIR WORST. Yeah, the Chipettes do return in this film as well, but they have very little screen time, and that actually might be a good thing. CAUSE I DON'T WANT TO HEAR THESE HIGH PITCHED VOICES OVER AND OVER AGAIN! And the less I say about the musical numbers(which are just really bad chipmunk versions of modern day pop songs), THE BETTER! I'm not saying much for the acting, because by the time we get to the 4th film, you can already tell how bland it is.The only good thing about the film are the CGI effects, which are now done by the masters at Weta Digital. Yeah, the chipmunks still look like they're in the uncanny valley, but I think the effects and animation look seamless and very well done. It's just too bad they have annoying characters to work with.Wow. I can't believe how abysmal this film is. Aside from the CGI effects, everything about this film is very shoddy in their own level. Please. Save your time and money and DO NOT SEE THIS FILM.And to end this review, I'm going to end with what Jason Lee(as Dave) says at each and every film. ''ALVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'' (To be honest, this film really deserves a 0.5/10, but the lowest IMDb can give is a 1/10. So there.)

This is the best movie ever. Even though it would have been more good with some memes. I also wish that ihe could be in the movie. I think that this movie requires a British actor. ihe would also have to do a face reveal. I mean in all honesty I know this is the best movie on the planet and no movie could beat it at all. Also we need some minions, you know those yellow annoying things. I think that this movie needs more 10/10's. Also ign should have reviewed the movie. They would have gave a 10/10 easily. Also the movie is great cause the chipmunks are really funny to and I laughed a bunch of buckets of milk. The chipmunks are always awesome and always come on top off all other movies.

I watched this movie recently, and I admit, that it's a masterpiece and it should be respected. You see, I was bored recently and I wanted to watch a movie. Now, being an Alvin and the chipmunks fan since I was a child, I wanted to see the newer content that was in store. So, I proceeded to watch the movies "chipwreck" and "roadchip", and I must say that they where phenomenal. It was a better experience watching these movies then it was watching my all time favourite movie, avatar: the last air bender. Also, the cgi is a masterpiece in its own way. The animation on the chipmunks was really smooth and even better then another movie that I adore, the incredible bulk! Wow!! Well, you see, I was watching the movie with my cat, dubbie, and she made various meowing noises while viewing it. So, I'm pretty sure that all cats approve of this movie!! I rate it 69/10, cat tested, feline approved!
