The people who work at Aardman Animations clearly still have some hilarious humor to them. I can happily say this because the "Shaun the Sheep Movie" clearly demonstrates that they can keep making great movies. I heavily enjoyed their previous works like "Chicken Run" and "The Curse of the Were Rabbit" and now they have brought there other big star to the screen in a very unique way. What I mean is that this film has the humor and heart of a brilliant animated movie that doesn't have one word spoken throughout the entire movie. It may seem impossible to pull this of, but luckily it works. Still, there's more to this film that makes it work and I'll explain why.Our main character Shaun is a mischievous sheep who lives at the Mossy Bottom Farm out in the countryside, but is bored by his daily farm life routine. One day, he gets an idea to put the farmer to sleep so his flock can do whatever they want. How do this? Well, they make the farmer count his own sheep, of course. The plan backfires, however, after the sheep puts the farmer in a caravan which accidentally rolls away from the farm and into the city. Now, it's up to the sheep of the farm and the farm dog Bitzer to get him back and stay away from the evil animal catcher. The film may sound very silly to you, but trust me when I say that the film is actually pretty hilarious. It shows us that animated movies don't need to have tons of dialogue for humor to make for a very entertaining movie. Yes, the story is basic, but it always was supposed to be. It didn't need to be really complicated, because children would easily not understand what's going on, and that's exactly what this movie does so brilliantly. The stop motion animation like always is fantastic. The painstaking hours the company spent on creating clay models and moving them slightly has paid off because the characters move as if they were drawn on paper or even a computer. The characters, while not having a lot of depth, are hilarious as ever as they do pretty humorous moments in the film. For example, Bitzer is trying to get into a hospital to get the farmer, but can't go in because he's a dog. So, he dresses up like a doctor and accidentally gets tricked for being the doctor operating on a surgery. It may sound cliché to you, but trust me when I say that it leads to a moment so funny that I dare not spoil it here."Shaun the Sheep Movie" is a film that the whole family can easily enjoy. Kids can laugh at the silly moments while adults can appreciate the technicality of the film. In my opinion, this film is a clear example of how visual media is stronger than written media. I just wish more films would do that nowadays.

"Shaun the Sheep the Movie" is a very enjoyable and completely inconsequential film that was also, interestingly enough, Oscar- nominated for Best Animated Feature. When I say inconsequential I am not insulting it but am talking more about the plot....as there really isn't a lot of it. Instead, it's more just an excuse for the animators to have fun and throw in 1001 cute little jokes. When the film begins, the animals on the farm are happy and nothing unusual appears to be in the future. However, when the sheep all conspire to work together to give themselves a day off, things go haywire and their farmer, amazingly, gets taken to the big city. The guy ends up getting a head injury and has amnesia* and the sheep and sheepdog hurry to the city to rescue him. Unfortunately, there's a totally insane animal control officer who insists of getting them...even once they've arrived safely back at the farm. So is the film any good? Yes. The Aardman folks did their usual terrific stop-motion work and the writers did a wonderful job keeping the jokes coming and the viewer interested. Kids and adults should like it. However, it's also something that is nice but not especially life-changing or amazing. Well done and cute.

'SHAUN THE SHEEP': Four Stars (Out of Five)A stop-motion animated comedy flick; based on the TV series, by Nick Park (featuring a character which appeared in the 1995 'WALLACE AND GROMIT' short film; 'A CLOSE SHAVE'). Richard Starzak and Mark Burton wrote and directed the movie; which also features voice performances by Justin Fletcher, John Sparkes and Omid Djalili (although the movie has no dialogue). The story revolves around Shaun, and his flock of sheep, venturing into the city, to rescue their farmer (who has amnesia, due to their misbehavior). The film is funny, and very charming. The story begins at Mossy Bottom Farm, where Shaun (Fletcher) is bored with his daily sheep life. So he and his flock trick their farmer (Sparkes) into going back to sleep, one day. The caravan they put the farmer in, accidentally rolls into the city. He hits his head, and is given amnesia. The sheep then make it their mission to bring him back home. The movie is funny and beautifully animated (in a classic way). I was never bored by the film; and it's always amusing (and charming). I like how the characters never speak, as well; they just mumble all of their lines. It's a really well made animated movie; that should entertain adults, as well as kids.Watch our movie review show 'MOVIE TALK' at: https://youtu.be/A1MyBFioKXM

I dunno where to begin. Well, I can say I just love Wallace & Gromit and did like Chicken Run, additionally. As those both were highly creative, I believe this one took the subgenre to a whole new artistic level. There wasn't a scene that passed that I wasn't smiling, giggling or out- right laughing in addition to being in awe on how many gags, references or background jokes were in each frame. Take all that and realize this movie is almost completely without dialogue, you know you have masterminds here at work.Basically, Shaun the Sheep is bored with the normal farm routines and in attempt to take a PTO day, he inadvertently sets off a chain of events that binds together their "nemesis" (the dog,) and the other sheep to rescue their master back into normality. Top to bottom, this movie is breathtaking in its imagination. At first, I was kinda taken aback by the dog, who reminded me a little too much of the Gromit dog and thought that was unoriginal for these clever folks. I was painfully wrong and the only thing the two characters share is their species. Once I got past that and realized I was in error, I had no other problems with this and was mesmerized till the end. This is only my second 10/10 star review of 2015's movies and it's gonna be hard to decide between this and the other one (Spotlight) for best of the year. Definitely see this movie!
