This is the worst super hero movie ever made. It sucks why was it made a comedy????? Seth Rogen cast as the Green Hornet what a joke. He should stick to comedy no action films for this loser. They ruined a good character with total garbage acting from a complete neophyte. Wouldn't recommend to anyone who can read write and chew gum at the same time. Imagine if Wonder Woman had Mayim Bialik from the big bang theory as the lead and Jim Parsons as Steve Trevor would anyone go see it!!!!!!! I think not. Total waste of your life that you can't ever get back.

(59%) Yes it may rattle along at times, and the timing might be a little off, but this really isn't a bad little comedy/action movie. I'm no Seth Rogen fan but he's at least watchable and clearly trying to do his best, while offering some amusing lines along the way. The direction is solid even during the more frantic parts, and yes the plot is nothing that great or anything new, but it's at the very least coherent and something worth getting invested into. Besides Cameron Diaz's character being largely pointless, and the run time being overly long by about 20 or so minutes, this is consistently entertaining and a decent portion better than I first assumed before watching it.

Now if anybody sees this film thinking it is a serious superhero film you will be disappointed and that is why the overall IMDb rating sucks. But if you watch this film as a spoof of super heroes then it will be funny. This shows the team of a rich playboy and karate expert team up to stop crime by committing crime and attempt to take down an established Villain. When Seth Rogan was announced as The Green Hornet some people were dubious, but he was a great choice and I think he is a hilarious and he truly fits the bumbling superhero idiot that he is meant to be and when compared to somebody like Will Ferrell I believe Rogan is dominant. The actor who plays Kato is an underwhelming actor but his character is pretty cool and his awesome action skills really provide the juxtaposition to Rogan and add to the partnership. Christophe Waltz is great as the villain and has some great lines that make him a great character and worthy against The Green Hornet also Cameron Diaz is decent in her role even though I think she was slightly underutilised. The District attorney was a bit disappointing as he only becomes a key character towards the end and I wish he was used throughout the film. The story wasn't the best part of the film as I believe the story was a bit all over the place and I don't believe it was a strength at all. A huge strength of the film was the script with Rogan and Waltz in particular thriving under this great script. The style was pretty good with some of the weapons and action scenes were good most of the time, but some shaky cam does make the style go down a bit. This is a pretty funny spoof superhero film that should be more appreciated.

When Van Williams and the great Bruce Lee made The Green Hornet and Kato famous back in 1966, who would have thought that 45 years later in 2011 that funny-man Seth Rogen and Jay Chou would team up and suit up in the Green & Black suits to keep the tradition alive? I don't think none of us saw that coming. I have to give director Michael Gondry his props, he delivered a one-of-a-kind movie that has started the new year off with a bang, slap, ka-bow. Incredible!!!! I can't leave out the wonderful supporting cast. We have seen her in Gangs of New York, we've learned that there was Something About Mary – Cameron Diaz delivered in this movie. And who can't forget about the villain – Chudnofsky aka Bloodnofsky (I guess I spelled that correctly) – Christoph Waltz was awesome. I was expecting a cheesy movie, but I got a rib-eye steak and a baked potato – this movie was off-the-hook.
