Hilarious film where a bombastic taxi driver, Queen Latifah, meets up with a policeman who you begin to wonder how he ever became a cop to begin with. He can't drive; he appears to be inept at every turn and he has to take orders from the girl he dated who has now been promoted. The chase scenes are great as Latifah inadvertently becomes involved in the situation when Jimmy Fallon, terrific as the cop, loses his license. The bank robbers are foreign women who are tough to the core.On the way, Latifah gives courage and strength to Fallon and with bold initiative and clever ploys, the two team up to track down the culprits. You know that you're getting older when Ann-Margret plays Fallon's alcoholic mother, and she does a good job at it.

I haven't watched the original which is probably why I have such a different opinion. However, I found it hilarious and at some points sweet. And the scene between Gisele and Jennifer was awesome. There was so much humour and although I liked the film, I can say that the acting was poor at times and it lacked character development and some of the scenes that were supposed to be funny were not. Some of the acting though, gosh it was the worst I've seen. But I think I liked that because it was cheesy and stupid and funny and not at all serious. The only really serious scene was probably Jennifer and Gisele's and that was only slightly more serious. Or when Marta fired Andy.I feel like Queen Latifah shouldn't have been in this film, and they should have got someone who didn't make the film have the cheesy aspect, which is what I think caused it. I love Jennifer Esposito's acting which is actually the main reason I watched this film so I am rating it 8 because I like 'terrible' films and Jennifer Esposito's acting and her scene with Gisele boost it up a lot.

Whyyyy? Why God? Why God? (Im agnostic even though this converted me) Don't the American filmmakers write, produce, make their own stuff! Lets see: a woman driver, for a change? yeah really? Is wasn't there available another less charismatic individual for the cop role, come on! Femme fatal bank robbers, this isn't a Michael Bay's isn't right? This is torturous, even a SNL's movie is way better! This is blasphemous, and i don't think Luc Besson has something to do with this perpetration! Next time, please french people, look who you sell your stuff to, do the research and most important, send a assistant. Avoid it at all costs!

Wow...a movie about an inept cop that has little plot and story development, low performances and some skimpy dressed models. This is a dismal failure on the comedy aspect. There was no funny and no surprise. The entire story was so stupid and flawed that to sit and sit through it without trying to kill yourself is more thought provoking. There is actually 20 seconds of surprise in this movie, and it happens when the models almost get caught with their car - but that's it...20 seconds later, you feel very cheated again. This movie fails.Having not seen the French version, I can't compare it to anything - except what should be something to be able to entertain in itself - and it doesn't do that.
