The film follows a petty rock band called the Winners, consisting of vocalist Joey Winner, bassist Jennifer, guitarist Tyler, drummer Sam, and French-Canadian roadie Hugo, along with their sleazy manager Jeff, as they tour across Canada and the USA after Jennifer is turned into a vampire by Queeny. Meanwhile, a vampire hunter who is afraid of the dark named Eddie Van Helsing quickly chases them down.

A struggling rock band bite off more than they can chew when one member is bitten and turned into a vampire. After turning band mates into blood suckers, career success and hilarity ensue. Including a scene with Moby as a metal bands lead singer who gets more than he bargains for when he takes a groupie to the hotel room. A lot of effort went into this little indie film. And you can tell that the cameos (Alice Cooper,Malcom McDowell,Moby), are done out of love for the script. Certainly not for the few dollars they were surely paid to be in the film. Hardcore legend Henry Rollins does a great job as an annoying typical radio DJ.While the music that the band plays certainly lives up to the film's title, the movie as a whole is entertaining. And I always love seeing a Danny Smith cameo.

After Reading the reviews thus far I have heard acclaim for Malcolm that are really the biggest mistake I found in the list. McDowell's Lackluster acting is the only real downer of this gem. The action in the movie is meant to be slow from the start, the band suffers what most bands do. They can't find a fan base and can't build their desires to make that happen, that is until Dimitri shows up and makes a mountain out of a mole hill. "Jennifer" starts off as a new vampire with needs. She needs blood and she needs to hide the bodies. "Hugo" Serves up a nice "Renfield" moment or two, and then things start to come together for the band. Their Sleaze-ball Manager leaves them high and dry, and the hunger for blood builds a relationship that had failed once before. There is soft humor with great goth metal and some nerd core, and some slapstick. There is nothing lacking in the story and it grows well and blooms into a full on feast of funny. Mostly punctuated with great roles filled with some of the best rockers and rollers. I mean how often do you get to satisfyingly smirk at the death of Moby or Henry Rollins? Don't pass this up cult movie fans! This is a must see and remember for life's little special rules. "Always wear a condom, and never trust a vampire."

In Montreal, Joey (Rob Stefaniuk) is the lead singer of the struggling band "The Winners", composed by the sexy bass singer Jennifer (Jessica Paré), the guitarist Tyler (Paul Anthony), the drummer Sam (Mike Lobel) and the handyman Hugo (Chris Ratz). Their incompetent and alcoholic manager Jeff (Dave Foley) is incapable to help them to reach success and they are on the road on tour playing in clubs and bars in Canada and United States of America. After a show in a bar in Montreal, Jennifer, who is also the Joey's former girlfriend, leaves the place with the creepy Queeny (Dimitri Coats), who is a vampire, and they spend the night together. On the next morning, Jennifer does not meet the band and they travel in their hearse to participate in a rock 'n' roll show without her. In the last moment, Jennifer arrives with a different appearance and on the next day they find that their home page had had several hits, all of them with good reviews and compliments to Jennifer. They become famous and Jennifer brings great audiences to the shows of "The Winners" and one by one, the musicians are turned into vampires but the reluctant Joey. "The Winners" become successful and Joey has a dream where he meets the bartender (Alice Cooper) of their show in Montreal in a crossroad and the man tells that he needs to decide whether he wants to be a winner or a loser. Meanwhile the vampire hunter Eddie Van Helsing (Malcolm McDowell) is hunting the vampire queen and tracking "The Winners" in their shows. "Suck" is a refreshing vampire and rock 'n' roll cult movie with cameo of Alice Copper, Iggy Pop, Moby and Henry Rollins. But the greatest attraction is the sexy and gorgeous Jessica Paré with her luxurious lips and beautiful eyes. Chris Ratz is hilarious in the role of the handyman Hugo and Malcolm McDowell has also a great performance. But the originality of the story makes this film a worthwhile entertainment. My vote is seven.Title (Brazil): Not Available

I was looking forward to watching this film as i have enjoyed watching other vampire spoof films. However the film had an exceptionally slow start and didn't really speed up even towards the end. The film was billed as a comedy and watching only found 3 or 4 lines in the entire film remotely funny. The best thing about the film is the cast. Some of the music stars really helped me continue watching, as i wanted to see who else would be in the film. The best thing about this film is that it really lives up to its title this film really "Sucks". It was 91mins of my life i will never get back. This however is just my opinion, and know of people who have actually enjoyed it. So i would say watch it. But don't buy it rent it as once will be enough.
