11:14 (2003)

Jack (Henry Thomas) is a habitual drunk driver and some people drop a body off an overpass onto his car. He's scared and shove it into his trunk. This is the first of several interconnected stories from that night taking place at 11:14.There are some great actors in this little movie. It's a black comedy with a disturbed sense of humor. Most of it don't work at all. Some of it is head scratching. A few actually illicit a smile. Director/Writer Greg Marcks has woven together a lot of white trash chaos. It mostly doesn't work but I wanted it to work better so badly. It has this slow energy that can't get the movie up to full speed.

I didn't know after watching this movie, and I still don't know after reading some of the reviews, whether it was supposed to be a comedy or a convoluted drama.If the intention was to make a comedy, it failed.As drama, the whole scenario was, for me, overwhelmed by the fact that almost no-one in this story of small town mayhem, was at all likable. It may be superficial, but a story only hangs together when at least one character brings you onside. Here, only the cop and Swayze - both, in terms of the plot line, minor characters - evoke any such feeling.Like many people who see the film without knowing anything about it, I wondered what on earth was happening for the first half. Slowly the intertwined narrative became clearer but - because of the lack of empathy with most of the players - I couldn't get terribly enthusiastic about the eventual outcome.I can see moronic, feral juveniles any night outside the local pubs and frankly have little desire to see them portrayed as stars.Technically well made - but: is it a comedy or not? Someone please tell me.

It has often been said that all of our lives are interconnected. Nine people's lives are linked together at the same moment in time, all with life changing results.This film actually has no plot, but rather details the actions of all of the nine people leading up to that fated moment and shortly after. Interestingly, it is all about the freak timing and some very stupid or cruel choices that people make. Sometimes those ill-thought out actions can have devastating results.While this film does not fall under the heading of "enjoyable evening of entertainment" for me, it is a MUST see film for teenagers and their parents. It is not preachy, but very matter-of-fact blunt. Actions do have reactions, as well as consequences. There is also a difference between "harmless fun" and "stupidly dangerous".

Must film for guys of age between 16-30.All characters are not full white are not full Grey.All resemble upon the circumstances.Good continuity.Only thing bother is music.Thats not up-to the mark for the film like this.could have been better.Must watch for bored people No second thought about giving 10/10
