This is the biggest disgrace in movie history. Everything about this film is bad. This movie is so bad I can not rate anything else 1 star because of this movie.

I watched the entire The Star Wars Holiday Special and it honestly is really bad, yes the Chewbaccha Wookienese language is a bit boring and excessive and the songs are not that good but it it somewhat interesting I suppose. Fans of Star Wars most likely will not watch this but only hardcore fans will. I give The Star Wars Holiday Special a 3/10

This was terrible and Abomination to the name Star Wars also it seemed more like Star Trek in some scenes also it was so bad its makes the Prequels look good the Only Positives were The Original Cast ,Darth Vader and Boba Fett gosh it was terrible. I would happily Join George Lucas in breaking these with a Sledge Hammer at Least Kathleen Kennedy and Lucasfilm are Honoring George Lucas Vision This didn't it was a Money Grab as well the worst thing to happen in the 40 Years of the Franchise I love Star Wars but This is the only thing bad about it. The Worst Star Wars Movie Ever 2/10

This is my first review on this site, and I can't really say why I chose this title over so many other, more qualified titles that hold a bigger place in my heart. I was not even alive when The Star Wars Holiday Special was released, so nostalgia is definitely not a huge factor for me, other than the general nostalgia of old television and Star Wars-related material. What I can say, is that I wholly disagree with those who may label this "Trash" or insinuate it is the worst thing to ever come out. As a matter of fact, for a TV special aimed at children, for the time, this isn't half bad. It connects with a more down to earth side of the Star Wars universe and reminds me of many holiday-themed TV specials I watched as a kid. The production values for this one is actually quite high compared to others I've seen. Since discovering this gem, I've learned to love it and now include it as a yearly tradition along with other holiday related movies and TV. The plot is both interesting and keeps you watching, and the characters, even though a tad bizarre, work within the context of the rest of the special.I think the reason The Star Wars Holiday Special receives so much hatred is quite similar to why Episode 1, 2 and to some extent 3 also received so much criticism. Many of the Star Wars fans that grew up with Star Wars forgot that they were kids back then. Over time, I feel like Star Wars has lost a lot of the magic and innocence it had when George Lucas first toiled over the first entry in the series. Grown up, cynical and jaded, we demand ever more from a franchise that holds a special place in our hearts. But people forget that the original trilogy isn't perfect, and is in fact, quite juvenile. For the same reason that a lot of kids enjoyed the prequel trilogy, I'd suspect children (who this special is intended for) enjoyed the Holiday Special immensely more than the adults who now are viewing it for the first time. Now I'm not saying the Holiday Special is perfect, and I'm certainly not saying the prequel trilogy is perfect either. What I am saying is that nothing will ever live up to the expectations set by the original Star Wars movie, and that this little, unappreciated gem should be seen for what it is. Just a whimsical, holiday-themed foray that dives into the more family-oriented, innocent side of Star Wars. I think it succeeds at that.
