Ángela Vidal, the young television reporter who entered the building with the firemen, manages to make it out alive. But what the soldiers don't know is that she carries the seed of the strange infection. She is to be taken to a provisional quarantine facility, a high-security installation where she will have to stay in isolation for several days. An old oil tanker, miles off shore and surrounded by water on all sides, has been especially equipped for the quarantine.

I didn't know this existed.I was so excited. The 3rd one was a mistake and a weird mess.....let's hope they return to the brilliance of Rec!! I'm a zombie geek.....a massive fan and I know we all argue about shamblers and the rabids but either way, they make a good film. I love Rec....LOVE IT! Possibly my favourite Zombie film ever and I won't apologise to the traditionalists yet.....they've ruined it. What started off as a brilliant found footage on firefighters and ended in a bloodbath of zombie horror ended in a weeping, horrible, accidental copy of the doomed Resident Evil franchise. I really hoped this would redeem the strange event of Rec 3, and it tried, but the reference to it throughout just reminded me of the mistake. Look.....I adore Rec 1 and 2.....but sometimes, like the dead, just shoot it in the head.

After finding my nerves to get torn apart by the first 2 films in the Rec series,I was disappointed to find the third to be a painfully unfunny Comedy.Getting set to do my 1000th IMDb review,I decided that it was time to see the ending of the Rec series. The plot:Waking up after being taken out of an apartment block filled with zombies, Ángela Vidal finds herself with the handful of other survivors on a ship.Trying to make sense of the new location, Ángela discovers that the ship has been taken over by the military, who are keeping it safe in order for the scientist to find a cure for the zombie outbreak at a secure location. Feeling safe due to being miles from land, Ángela and everyone else on the ship soon discover that the zombie outbreak can cross the pond.View on the film:Wrapping up the series, the screenplay by co-writer/(along with Manu Díez) director Jaume Balagueró keeps the action locked on the ship, which along with allowing the threads from the series to be joined up,also gives the title an uneasy atmosphere,as the rough waves are joined by ravenous zombies. Sketching out a clear outline to the cause of the zombie outbreak in the first 3 films, the writers horribly destroy everything that was at the very centre of the terror in the films,by changing the threat into something much less complex and easier to defeat, and also packing the film with extremely ill-judge,childish comedy (stir fried monkey!)Completely getting rid of the franchises trademark "Found Footage" appearance for the final, director Balagueró & cinematographer Pablo Rosso give the title a slick, glossy shine, which fully shows all the tight corridors in the (partly) shot on location ship, and the look of terror sinking deep into Ángela's (played by a very good, returning to the series Manuela Velasco) eyes.Despite having a real location, Balagueró completely drains the film of any claustrophobia or horror by opening up the long corridors of the ship in a wide, crisp presentation, that leads to the unfolding zombie nightmare feeling oddly "safe",which along with some of the ships timber being used for some shockingly poor CGI animal zombies (!) leads to this being a (Rec)ording that should have been stopped a long time ago.

Look i'm a fan of the rec films i thought the first two we're great. The third film i wasn't really fan of but on its own it's entertaining. but film is just bad.Look on the positive side it's great to see Angela again and the film for the most part looks great, it has really nice atmosphere and one good twist how ever that's the only thing that film got right. On the negative side that play with the cannon.yeah apparently rec 2 din't really happened, just the last scene and the twist of it. there's no demonic angle in this. why? because the director thought it was stupid? it was different take to the zombie genre and most fan liked it, so why get rid of something that people liked? They got some annoying characters. the worst one was a old lady from rec 3 who's completely useless and annoying or at least i think she's from rec 3 i can't really remember her. anyway she was a walking references. They're two twist in this. the first one what i mentioned was good the first was about the thing in the first 2 films it turns out she was the girl in the news articles and that she put a parasite in Angela body how ever it's second twist that ruined it for me. It turns out that she wasn't the hadn't it in her anymore and that was cop who she got saved form in the begging was a bad guy. It felt force and it din't make any sense. The acting is also pretty much bad. Manuela Velasco was good however i spotted 2 unintentional smiles on her face intense. I really don't think it's her fault thought, i just think it was bad takes on scenes. and most of the actors we're forgettable.Anyway i can go but it is just bad and i don't think they should stop the series here cause the only make it worse no matter who their going to hire.

The first 2 films were great not only because of the great acting and overall great atmosphere, but also because it was 100% found footage... you only saw what was recorded by the characters camera and it made the movies much more suspenseful because it felt more real because it was fully committed to the found footage style. And unfortunately REC 4 does the same thing that put me off about the 3rd one (among other things), and that is that it is not entirely found footage. Actually like 80% of the movie is normal shoots filmed professionally in good looking angles. There are SO many horror films and REC removed the one thing that, in my opinion, gave it a unique feel and look to it... Overall You are better off ending with the 2nd film. Both REC 1 and REC 2 are tied together wonderfully, and bot are scary and suspenseful.
