Great movie! I love it so much. Anthony Hopkins is the best.

The Silence of the Lambs directed by Jonathan Demme is close to a masterpiece. Expertly shot and acted this is another in the line of Hannibal Lectar films and arguably the most well-known. Anthony Hopkins will forever be known for his chilling portrayal of Lectar(he won an Oscar for this) and Jodie Foster once again shows why she is such a fine actress. The pacing is good and Buffalo Bill is a maniac you want caught, even if it means siding with a cannibal. To Demme's credit the film makes Lectar far more interesting than any other character despite the fact that he isn't in the film much. Great watch.

The Silence of the Lambs stunned the world when it was released and is by far the most popular Hannibal Lector film. Jonathan Demme has created an evocative film and Anthony Hopkins is the definite Hannibal Lector. Jodie Foster is also excellent as the new FBI recruit assigned the task to go talk to Lector in order to nab a serial killer out on the loose. Their interactions are amazing and one of the finest acting pieces in a mainstream Hollywood film. This is a must watch for anyone who appreciates the power of a good film.

What's Good? 1. Excellent plot and background score. It can be regarded as the most involving film ever. 2. Stellar performances by Anthony Hopkins as 'Hannibal Lector' and Jodie Foster as 'FBI agent, Clarice Starling'. Both won and truly deserved Oscars for the same. 3. Equally brilliant villain, 'Buffalo Bill', a creepy psychopathic serial killer. Ted Levine has nailed it. 4. Screenplay and direction is just great. Never too hurried, not a single dull moment. Optimum pace and flow. What's bad? Yet to figure out. Probably nothing. Verdict - It's a 'Must' watch, possibly the best in Crime/Thriller genre. Watch it for thrilling experience and acting excellence. It really deserved the 'Big 5' Academy awards.
